LG 30.7 cu. ft. Standard Depth MAX InstaView French Door Refrigerator with Four Types of Ice, plus LG 6.0 cu. ft. Single Door Refrigerator with Inverter Compressor and Pocket Handle in Platinum Silver, plus LG LT1000P3 Water Filter, 3-pack for
$1735, saving $2340.
Must be a Costco Member.
This is an example, other combinations of products are possible. Costco has a $300 rebate on certain appliances when you spend $1999. However, certain LG refrigerators are also eligible for a free second fridge. Costco also has another deal on certain Costco Direct items. If you buy two, you get $100 off, buy 3 $200 off, etc.. However the second "free" fridge is a Costco Direct item, so adding it to you cart gets the rebate on the price of the second fridge, plus $100. However, now your cart total is below $1999, so adding the water filters (for the main fridge) brings your total Costco Direct spend back over $1999 getting the total down to $1735. Other combinations of products would also work.
Example:
LG 30.7 cu. ft. Standard Depth MAX InstaView French Door Refrigerator. Was $3550, now $1999

LG 6.0 cu. ft. Single Door Refrigerator. Was $389, now -$100

LG LT1000P3 Water Filter, 3-pack. Was $134, now -$164

Their defense isn't that it's not true, rather that there is an arbitration clause on the box.
If you're going to buy LG, please buy a third party warranty or make sure you have a backup option.
I know Costco has a reputation for accepting anytime returns no questions asked, but I've never tested it and certainly not with such an appliance.

It's their linear compressor that was crap and subject to the lawsuits. They stopped using those and went back to the tried and true compressor design.
LG still uses the linear compressor. It has been redesigned and updated.
The issues around LG compressors were in 2014-2017.
According to Yale Appliance, the LG fridges were the most reliable in the last 3 years. You can go check that out in their blog.
We have a Kenmore LG fridge that has been going strong for the last 12 years. Just had to replace the ice maker but that was very easy.
Go read the Yale Appliance blogs about various appliances. Lots of great info in there from their service department. They do between 35k and 40k calls a year and they track all the data.
How do we check to see what compressor this model have?

Seeing as they really don't have a vested interest in LG, they sell them but they sell a lot of other brands, I trust their info.
They base all their info on the actual repair calls from their service department. They are one of the largest stores in Boston so they really have a lot of calls a year.
