I will respectfully disagree. As someone who bought the non-self propelled version 3 years ago, I really wish I had spent the extra money at the time and bought the self-propelled version. I've otherwise really enjoyed the mower and other Greenworks products I have.
Link? I could not find it on the AliExpress site (the one I did find was $305 for the exact same model as the Walmart one).
Also, the Walmart deal is being sold and shipped by Walmart. No weird shipping shenanigans.
With the mower as light as it is, having "self-propelled" is not really that necessary, and that option just adds more unnecessary weight, and another mechanical component that can fail.

In 2018 Walmart clearanced them out with 2 batteries and charger. In a classic Walmart fu they cancelled and refunded most orders, only for the mowers to be delivered anyway. I'm still using my free mower. Zero issues with body or batteries.
Probably not. Mine is 1.25 acre. Once you have it though you wouldnt want anything else. Mine is 80v and 50% more weight
Is the 80V self-propelled mower too heavy? I have a slope on one side of my yard that has to be mowed with a walk behind mower. I am concerned that the 80V mower will be too heavy to use on that slope. To mow the slope I go back and forth and as the slope increases it gets harder to mow. Currently I'm using an older gas powered self-propelled mower to mow the slope but I want to get away from gas powered.

The first yard I had was small and completely flat, it was fine on it but there were a few times where I thought about how much quicker it would have been with the SP (in the south during the summer it gets hot fast even with a small yard). Now I have a much bigger yard with slopes and I'm about to hire a lawn service haha

Same situation here. The steel decks contribute to the overall weight, but the 80V shows that it's 65 pounds without batteries and that makes it 35lbs lighter than my self-propelled gas mower.

I tried that once and paid the guy $60 to do a lousy job and that was the end of that. The guy cut the grass when it was wet.

Have had this mower for going on 7 years now (self propelled is not necessary for me), hands down one of the best purchases I've ever made. Will never go back to using gas. Have a bunch of batteries now and other tools as well (trimmer, edger, blower, utility light, fan, etc). You can always find deals on Greenworks tools and batteries too.
DO NOT buy 40V. It's very underpowered. It will keep getting bogged down, stopping, and frustrating you. Speaking as the owner of a 60V greenworks mower - I wish I had bought 80V.
I have zero issues with my 40v and am able to mow my sizable lawn on a single 5.0ah battery. I do mow weekly in season though, love my Greenworks tools/batteries!

Even with it being light, I find it useful for tight spaces where maybe I can't always push it from behind, or if it's particularly hot outside and I want an assist.
Sweeten the deal! A certain cashback site that rhymes with Wag Chucks is offering 20% CB at Walmart for flash sales and home and garden, bringing this down to $200.

Yes. 65 lbs. w/o battery.
I am willing to take a chance on this mower because Costco will take it back if I'm not satisfied. So, basically no risk.
