EVs are coming, but they are not ready yet. Wait till 2027. If Toyota's claim is true... This will be a "Game Changer for EVs."

Toyota claims its solid-state batteries will offer a range of up to 745 miles on a single charge and can be fast-charged in 10 minutes or less.

Toyotas been trotting the exact same MAGIC BATTERIES SOON lie since 2009 now.

Every couple years they just change the target date.

It's an imaginary scare-you-out-of-buying-now story from a company 10+ years behind on developing EVs compared to everyone else.

But of course you already knew that.

You posted this same fake Toyota magic battery nonsense LAST year- twice.
Here:

Where it was quickly, and in detail with sourced links, debunked.... and then 8 days later you posted it again (and it was debunked again) here:

As I asked you the last 2 times you did this- why you keep posting a story you know for a fact is false and have had proven, directly to you, was false multiple times?

As of this post TSLA up almost 15% from todays opening bell on quarterly earnings mentioning cheaper next-gen vehicles may be out as early as end of the year--- rather than "cancelled" as Reuters falsely reported a week or so ago... and being in negotiations with at least one major OEM on licensing FSD from Tesla.

And of course TSLA is up over 800% in the last 5 years... better than Apple, Microsoft, AMD, Amazon...basically beating every big tech company other than Nvidia.

Reuters was actually correct, 25k model is dead, it will a different model with no price tag and built on current production line rather the new one as was expected

Could you elaborate a little bit more" on what kind of new vehicles Tesla is talking about, Bernstein analyst Toni Sacconaghi asked. Are they tweaks on existing models, given that Tesla is going to build them on existing platforms? Or are these new models?

"I think we've said all we will on that front," Musk said tersely.

If it has no price tag how do you know it's not 25k?

Not to mention, on todays earnings call (which you quote below, so you can't pretend you didn't know about) Tesla explicitly confirmed the 25k model is not dead and is in fact arriving sooner than expected

Why do you only ever post easily disproven false things?

Great example here!

He was dismissive of that guys question because he'd already answered it earlier... BTW this isn't the first time that specific analyst asked a dumb question and Elon was terse in reply (more on him at the bottom)

Here's Elon from his opening statements of the call long before that guy asked his question.

Quote from Elon Musk :
We've updated our future vehicle lineup to accelerate the launch of new models ahead, previously mentioned start of production in the second half of 2025. So, we expect it to be more like the early 2025, if not late this year. These new vehicles, including more affordable models, will use aspects of the next-generation platform as well as aspects of our current platforms, and we'll be able to produce on the same manufacturing lines as our current vehicle lineup.
The second half of 2025 car was the 25k next gen one (as mentioned on the previous earnings call)

He'stelling you it's now coming sooner by leveraging existing lines- while still being more affordable than existing models.

But in case you're still unclear this is the 25k car- later in the call (again BEFORE Tony asked his dumb, already answered, question) we have a shareholder question of:

Quote from shareholder question :
can we get an official announcement of the time line for the $25,000 vehicle?

And in reply, Lars Moravy, VP of Vehicle Engineering, tells us
Quote :
Elon mentioned it in the opening remarks. But as you mentioned, we're updating our future vehicle lineup to accelerate the launch of our low-cost vehicles in a more capex-efficient way
So Tony was not only repeating a question already asked, it was one explained TWICE (by Elon and then Lars) before he ever asked.

So as confirmed by by Elon and Lars, the 25k is both still alive and coming sooner than expected.

That analyst BTW has had a sell rating on TSLA since July 2020 when it was $94 a share, so he's been wrong on the stock for a LONG time. That was soon after the same dude embarrassed himself by telling us Tesla was losing EV market share to Jaguars iPace.

In case you're not aware, the ipace sold a PEAK of ~15k cars worldwide the year he said that. It was down to less than half that annual number soon after. Jaguar is killing the model off, but over it's ENTIRE what will be 7 year lifespan, in total, worldwide, it will have sold fewer cars than Tesla sold every 2 weeks last year.

Mercedes-Benz beats Tesla to selling Level 3 autonomous cars in the U.S.

https://mashable.com/article/merc...3-autonomy

Mercedes-Benz has become the first automaker to sell vehicles with Level 3 autonomous driving technology directly to US consumers.

The EQS and S-Class sedans come with a Drive Pilot feature that doesn't require users to keep their eyes on the road, unlike Tesla's Full Self-Driving beta.

Not talking about 5 years ago but today. What was said about 43% at the time was correct.
Trend is down, down into the toilet.

Keep carrying the torch! Good for you.
I guess the 2700 people fired in Austin and 3300 in CA agree with you on how great Tesla is doing TODAY.

How many more EV companies by 2027 will be bankrupt and gone? Good luck getting that car fixed by the bankrupt and gone companies.

How many more children will die mining battery materials? You support that?

Maybe American supports of EV should have a mandatory time their children should go work in the mines. DEI and all that.

You don't seem to understand what a "trend" is.

It's not "what happened today"

Which, BTW, what happened today was the stock is up almost $20 a share from yesterdays close.

A trend is long term.

Over 5 years the stock is up much more than any other big tech stock but Nvidia. Over 936% as of this post.

Since IPO the stock is up 12,598%.

Those are trends.

"it dipped last week" is not a trend.

Very weird remark.

Tesla lays dead weight off every year or three- this is not anything new.

2018 similar layoffs-
https://www.cnbc.com/2018/06/12/t...eport.html

2019 similar layoffs

2022 similar layoffs

In every case total # of workers ended up (significantly) higher long term after such things as they hired for other things.

You're aware the gasoline industrys pollution kills WAY more kids than cobalt mining, right?

Also that a huge % of Teslas cars use LFPs that use 0 cobalt, right?

Yes, as I watched the news they showed the daily death count and age range of how many passed today. Very sad.

Without oil how do you get all your battery components to the factory.

We need to shut down all EV and diesel and gasoline powered anything.

Great news! They make electric semi trucks and container ships now!

it's still pretty early days, but they'll be replacing the much dirtier diesel stuff being used today.

Why?

Unlike gasoline electricity can be produced sustainably and cleanly.

If governments hadn't been allowing fossil fuel companies to externalize all their environmental costs for generations we'd already have fully done so.

After Tesla Autopilot Updates, Crashes Continue

Only four months ago, Tesla was pressured into recalling more than 2 million vehicles, including the Model S, to fix a system meant to ensure drivers are attentive when Autopilot is engaged. Tesla issued a software update to increase warnings and alerts to drivers if it fails to detect torque on the steering wheel, for example, though experts say this is inadequate. The NHTSA says Tesla has reported 20 crashes since the update, per the AP. The new investigation comes on the heels of the NHTSA wrapping up another probe of hundreds of Tesla crashes.
