To protect customers, Paypal performs automated and manual checks on orders. This means some orders may take up to 24 hours to process.
This card is redeemable via the Uber or Uber Eats app within the U.S. in cities where Uber or Uber Eats is available. You may be required to add a secondary payment method to use this gift card with the Uber or Uber Eats app.
I hear some people use this with the AMEX Gold $10 Uber Eats credit every month.
Most restaurants will jack up the prices for their restaurants about 10-15%, but if you judiciously utilize that $10 Uber Eats discount to recoup the annual fee, this is a good option to reduce that price discrepancy for using Uber Eats esp for pickup/togo orders.
I can't get this to work on my android or chrome. After logging into PayPal using two step verification, it keeps looping from wallet to checkout, then locking me out. I read a similar experience on the earlier thread, but don't know if anyone has this issue figured out.

I believe the bloodsucking they do to partner restaurants is quite profitable.
Don't understand all the hate for delivery companies. They bring business to restaurants they wouldn't otherwise have. People aren't getting delivery in lieu of going out to eat. The restaurants agree to the 30% cut because it's cheaper to put food in a box than it is to serve them in the restaurant. They know the terms when they sign up. They also offer employment and the pay is pretty good for just driving around. Uber eats has plenty of expenses. They offer discounts all the time. They offer discount gift cards. They have to pay credit card fees. They have to pay drivers. They have to pay lawsuits and refund customers with bad experiences. They have to pay support and IT costs. They haven't even been profitable until recently. It's a great service that never existed before. You didn't used to be able to order delivery from your favorite restaurant that's 10 miles away.
Just be aware that Uber gift cards don't work outside the US. I had just assumed they would and had loaded up on a bunch of gift cards. I'll get the $$$ back by submitting expense reports for US travel but thought I'd share.

Also, I send flowers via Safeway to friends if there's a death or anniversary (cheaper than 1800flowers).
