Depends on your situation with storage.
Many people have 2 refrig/freezers (one in kitchen, one in garage) so that's 4 boxes right there used (one for each compartment), and you're supposed to change them out every 2-3 months, so 12 for some is a reasonable amount to get at once.
Was about to say I got 1 for $1 at Lowes the other day.
