S23+ will get one(?) more year of updates I think. But seeing as it is a back up and you may not touch it, I would get the S22+. People poo poo on the S22+ battery life but again, its a back up. I am getting the S22+ for $200 for my work phone.

Not only did I encounter issues at various steps while trying to sign in (had to turn off ad blockers and go through incognito mode), I then got a message that said Verizon would need my phone as a trade-in, and that I had to go to a store to complete the transaction. I have one payment/credit left on my existing phone, so maybe that had something to do with it.

That's a lot of hoops to jump through. I just tried turning off ad block and using incognito to no success unfortunately. My phone has been paid off so I shouldn't run into any issues once I login, but it doesn't seem like I will be able to.

If that were true they wouldn't have them. Peoppe overwhelmingly prefer to get a free phone and sign a 3 year contract because less than 2% of the population change their carrier yearly
