I have the 18k btu unit and installed it myself since April 2023. It's been cooling and heating flawlessly. My unit doesn't have wifi which I added a cheap wifi tongle to turn it prior to get home. Is it slick? I would say yes if it would last me 5 years. I have a 1100sqft home and central ac. I'm in SoCal and my electric bills were average $450 in summer months with the use of central AC (not all the time). the mini split installed in the living room which cools down all the rooms (opened door), bills average around $230.

I wanted to test if the inverter mini split would work for my needs and this unit delivered. I will upgrade to better brand if it ever failed.

I am looking to buy 4 of these units, when I place 4 in the cart it only takes the $150 discount off one unit.
Does anyone know if I can order this 4 seperate times and get the discount off each unit?
Can this be stacked on top of the Costway Plus+ Membership?

Thanks!

Hi dear customer, thanks for your interests in Costway. Yes, you can buy it separately and the get discount for each unit. The code can be stacked on Plus+ membership. Please let us know if you need any help~

The pros of this particular brand or any cheaper Chinese brand is pricing if and only if you could install it yourself. They are cheap enough to learn how to DIY. I bought a vacuum pump with gauge off EBay for less than $100. Installation is straight forward if you have some electrical knowledge (240v, wiring size, electrical code etc)

The cons: no WiFi, very basic on/off, questionable temperature setting (I normally leave mine on Auto mode) my unit's temperature and my central Air's thermostat read different temperature.

Components are cheaper built (I've installed Gree, Pioneer, Samsung) but the unit works as designed. The copper lines set are short so make sure you planned ahead. I ended up installed the condenser/outside unit on top of my patio roof. I didn't want to cut the copper line ( I didn't want to reflare and wasn't sure if this unit would work😅)

If this unit failed, I will upgrade to Pioneer/Gree (better control, WiFi, components).

I would check your local FB market. I could find 12k btu unit as low as $400. Do you really need all 17k btu?

What wifi adapter did you get?

I just googled this mini split and found it on Temu direct from Costway for a bit less. Any reason why not to get it there?

I'm looking for a mini split that can run 5 ceiling cassettes. Each cassette would manage a small room. 2 downstairs and 3 upstairs (each bedroom).

Would you be able to direct me to something you'd recommend. I'm familiar with flaring and working w copper & electric.

Half of downstairs already has central air because of a renovation I did a few years ago. Rest of house uses window units bc no ducting. It's a standard 4 blocker cape cod from early 70s. 2,000 sq ft total. The 5 cassettes would cover a total of about 1,200-1,500 sq ft.

Master bedroom (bedroom 1) = bedroom 2 + bedroom 3 in terms of sq ft. Bedroom 3 is tiny. Slanted ceilings bc of roof and dormer for window. Twin bed is the largest that can fit in there. Bedroom 2 is 11'x12'

One big pro is that they use R32 as R410A is going away.
