These keyboards (Chinese branded ones) are better than anything Razer and Logitech comes up with nowadays. They know they can't compete with the Chinese brands on cost that's why their keyboards keep getting priced higher and higher.

Yeah but you'll have to deal with the customer service of a Chinese company. They'll stall and take their sweet time to fix issues. Have a problem? I hope you have time because you're about to have a 20-response email correspondence before you get your problems resolved.

So, is the KeyChron the new RaZer then? https://static.slickdealscdn.com/images/smilies/eek.gif
When they switch over to "gaming" designs and selling overpriced cheaply manufactured keyboards.

Keychron is decent keyboards, especially for this price. I do prefer hot swap and low profile switches though. Not a huge fan of Gateron switches except for low profile. Cherry MX is what I grew up with and is a favorite.

Blue switch is loud, even for oneself in my opinion. I use two reds, at home and office.

Important disclaimer: I'm an old school, and while I did not try them all (not even half, as of yet), I was forced to use the Lexington-made original Model M back in middle 1990-s, and had a chance to use a Topre-based HH kb in late 1990-s and ALPS-based original "Granite" kb of some early SGI Indy in the same decade. Then I realized, that for me personally, nothing is better than IBM-manufactured soft membrane kb (frequently supplied with the various Unix-workstations of the day).

Back to your question:

https://www.amazon.com/Mechanical...B0CQC45KYT [amazon.com]

https://www.amazon.com/Wireless-M...B0BGH6MP4B [amazon.com]

https://www.amazon.com/MageGee-Wi...B0BZ43QNGZ [amazon.com] (offers 20% coupon as of typing this)

https://www.amazon.com/Fogruaden-...B0BS8D6VV5 [amazon.com] ($54, but offers 10% coupon, which makes it <$50 as you requested)

And, especially, current LTD wireless with Optical Red Switches for $25:
https://www.amazon.com/Ractous-Me...B099RMR8PR [amazon.com] (can Keychron meet this?)
ty for your response, i appreciate your time and effort. i also made a much more detailed post in "looking for deals"w. The primary use will be gaming so I prefer red switches whenever possible. I have used both Outemu and Cherry switches and I must not be sensitive enough to tell thiree TKL mech RGB from re gon for $40, but the RGB pre rdiff, because I cant tell.

Also, I had a wired mech red switch TKL RGB from Redragon, but the color leds were preset by location, meaning each row was a different color and you couldnt change it. I have partial colo blindness and the entire number row was a type of blue that made it impossible for me to read the keys.
Oh, yes, I still look when I type, but that's a problem for another day.
Also I have a friend that traffics in bespoke keyboards, $150-$500+, I told him this was my current keyboard, https://share.temu.com/hvWdN4Zy4LA and I swear I heard him start to cry, LOL but it lights up great and i can see the keys in the dark

It's pretty bad, but types well for me, the only issue is it's wired and the arrow keys are subs for WASD.

oh, i completely forgot to mention, that for my streaming laptop, I use the Ractous kb you posted, but I was looking at so many listings, I messed up and orderd the brown switches, not reds. I'll likely return it. Also the 'shine-thru' is very dim in person. and the sub legends are not shine thru at all

$45, Gateron mechanical Blues, not sure about the shipping cost (?)

IMHO, not worth it in 2024 - go for dust-proof 10^8-click opticals for the same money or less.
I have the K3 in Gateron Blue. It's annoyingly clicky.

Cherry MX Blues are cheap (invented as a poor human imitation of the reputable IBM's Buckling Spring patent [google.com] back in the day, when the latter was still valid), lousy (bad engineering: no cushioning on up and down strokes by design) and fake (that loud imitation click of Blues is not inherently connected to function - unlike in the original Buckling Spring).

The whole story is actually quite sad, and makes me to think again and again, that human history is cyclical and not at all linear (but I detour..)

IBM's Buckling Spring was invented [google.com] to ease transition of traditional typewriter users to computer keyboards back in the early 1970s - buckling spring functionally recreates the loud and confirming sound of those mechanical and selectric typewriters of the decades gone.

P.S. I am starting to block the posters here, complaining about "color bleed" and their gaming "needs" - if you do not touch-type by now then I have nothing to tell you... I'm also definitely getting too old and way less patient LMAO

They did include those key-bindings, but seemingly under Fn- modifiers:

Are most of you, good people here, from the Millennial and/or Zoomer generation(s), organically (and by somewhat haphazard Boomers' design) lacking reading, attention and basic causality skills?

I noticed F1 F2 before I posted, but 1) this doesn't cover the missing 3 keys and theyh are in akward locations next to the right-click menu buttons. 2) it's not native and needs to be programmed in.
