I had two in stock on target website. I didn't try the app. When I got to the wrong target looking for a 1 in stock (I keep getting it and another confused), their scanners said "limited stock" at the one that had two, as well as the others that said 1. I decided to go to the one that had two, and their scanner said none. When I went to electronics.
If it's a short trip, go. If not, don't be surprised if its only the display, or none.
I'm thinking it's the display because it used to say two when I went in and one was boxed out on the floor.
Hey guys. I picked up one of these the other day and one of the screen corners was spider webbed unfortunately.
It was their last one. Any idea if Target will still somehow exchange it out for a new panel - or maybe if LG will just take it straight in for a full swap?
Anyone have any experience with something similar?
what stores did you go to that declined? and which did the match?
The one that price matched was North Brunswick (101 Grand Ave).
The two that declined were East Hanover and Fairfield.
Wish you best of luck!
I'd rely on the store member to check which stores still show the TV is in stock (with their handheld device). Not that their info is accurate, but at least their seems more up-to-date than our consumer app and target.com about which store is sold out.
If the 55" is also acceptable, then hunting for both 55" and 65" is gonna up your chances.
I visited the Levittown NY store this morning. The website said they had four in stock, but when I arrived, there was only the display model and one model in the box on the floor. The sales associate said that's all they have and there are no others available.
The signs for the 65 inch said "clearance $1,399". I asked the associate to scan the price to see if it would update. He pulled out a phone looking device and said that the price is still $1399. I politely asked to see a manager. The manager came over and explained that their clearance price cycles are different at each store, so the price might be updated later on. I explained that there is almost no stock left and I cannot come back at a later time because they will sell out. The manager then got out a different scan tool and checked the pricing again, and finally confirmed that it is showing up as $999. I purchased it on the spot.
So if you go to a target, and the price is not updating, be very polite and courteous with the staff, but insist that a manager use the correct inventory scan tool to check the current clearance price of this item. I told the manager that my "friend" (you guys) at another target had this issue with the price not updating and had to get a manager to update it. That seemed to help the credibility of what I was asking. Good luck out there!
Who was greedy and took every one from west palm beach area yesterday/this morning - we had so many left and could've got to 70% off but someone cleared all the 55 and 65's like an idiot
Can confirm this deal is still in the wild, walked into a store yesterday in Kansas City (Northland) to find a 65 in sitting on the floor. No prices anywhere, so I took a picture of the barcode on the box and then scanned that over at the price check kiosk - see attached photo.
My Target had a 65" but it was only the floor model, I happen to see they had one 55" left and was clearance to $749, got it and set it up.. amazing TV!

That's a great idea taking the picture, never thought of doing that for checking a price like that.
