Instead, you should encourage weeds to grow, especially ones that flower (to help out all the valuable pollinators!).
Who knows, you might get lucky and end up with a yellow jacket nest!
Anybody have a link to seed mix that includes thistle, chickweed, dandelions, clover, etc?
You can pick as many dandelions and clovers as you want from my yard. I recently had a family of bees attempt to move into my chimney and take up residence in my office on the other end so I'm good!

I have a small yard, so I prefer getting the bottle and using a 2-gallon pump sprayer. You get better control that way, and can be more conservative and precise with the spray. The hose end sprayer would be better if you have a very large yard.
