Credit goes to TealCable6389 for the initial discovery, but the deal is much broader than in their post and with better trade-ins than the Pixel 7. Still, give them a thumbs up if you like this deal.

7.29 x 24 = 174.96 plus the $79 due now is $254 total cost. Not really sure if I should trade in a S21 FE for the pixel 8.
It is before $80 trade in value. So subtract $80
I'm on Magenta and pay $100 for 5 lines. Employer discount matched when I moved 2 lines over and I have since picked up 3 free lines from various promotions. Fortunately I'm still eligible for these types of deals but that won't last forever.
No thank you. The 9 is around the corner and if I'm basically paying full price then I'll pay full price for the new one.

I hate to say it but with Sam's it's ymmv. I'm in Central Florida. I Went to three locations, one couldn't pull it up and was only showing new promotions, The second location told me it would work but I would have to switch my plan or add a line which I will not do, The third location the rep knew exactly what it was.
He Read the TOS properly and came to the same conclusion that this deal should work the way it's advertised here on SD. Sadly, Sam's club's T-Mobiles are supposed to be corporate , but YMMV on their in-store reps knowledge.
It's not just simple choice. There was a barrage of backlash at the end of last year as T-Mobile was trying to migrate people to pricier plans.

Simple Choice - one of the old t mobile plans
From what I've been told, they cannot force you on to a new plan. However it happens way too often. Customer take certain phone "deals" promos and unfortunately never read the fine print which ends up being said customer accepts to being transferred to a new rate plan to achieve the phone promo. by the time most people get the new bill and see the rate plan is sky high, it's too late to switch back.
I've seen many of people fall for this. One reason why we always say read the fine print.
