32GB ram makes all these handhelds expensive! Nice specs. I like that is resembles of PS Vita and has a flip-up keyboard.
That's exactly what I thought, like a combination of a PS VITA-2000 and the original Moto Droid. I wonder how the build quality is and how the long term quality measures up to other options in the market.

It doesn't make them expensive... These companies think they can charges hundreds of dollars more for $30 worth of memory... Probably cheaper with their bulk buys.
Never heard of GPD until now. Specs looks really good. Parroting what others say the battery life, durability, software, support are all question marks.
Not to mention the blatant rip off of the PSP design and the sliding keyboard... Feels like a device from 2008.
I would also wait since legion go 2 + Rog ally 2 is coming "soon". Let's see what more is coming into the mix.
The Legion Go is only 6 months old, so I doubt very much there will be a successor "soon".
Maybe a ROG Ally sooner but I don't think the APU exists to make a worthwhile successor at this point in time. AMD's most recent chip refresh doesn't offer the performance or efficiency gains to justify an update.

For those of you who don't know GPD, they are actually one of the first ones to bring out these handheld gaming/computers, and been around for a while. In fact, the likes of Steam Deck, and all the other recent handhelds (ROG Ally, Legion Go, etc) have all been a result of inspiration from devices like GPD Win, IMHO.
One of the main reasons why GPD Win devices tend to be expensivve is because they are not a big company like Valve, Lenovo, ASUS with such a huge funding. Also, they don't have partnerships, so they have to have bigger profit margins on the devices.

Steam deck already showing limitations on newer games.

I might get one anyway. Just really looking forward to gen 3 and above.
