Refuse to detect human more than 3 meters away to trigger notification and recording. Worked with them for months. Eufy either gave up or refused to admit it's problem.
Just a note. Mine is s330 (4K) with HB3.
Mine seems to miss quite a few motions. I've had deliveries that were totally missed. I'm not real happy and will probably go wired with another brand soon.

you would want motion only so you can go directly to what you want to view. a 24/7 recording would be labor-intensive to find what you're looking for

i mount it on a tree and still able to keep 100% charge and 50% in the winter
I have a battery operated Eufy camera connected to the corner of the garage. I don't want to deal with charging every couple of months, so I wired a camera to the garage door opener outlet on the ceiling
this is a good camera for low traffic area like a driveway or backyard, it will struggle with a lot of people/motion. solar power will add maybe 5% battery per day which is good but in my area, winter time means no sun for like 4 months so it starts to drain slowly.
These do not require homebase.
Can eufy S220 SoloCam connect to eufy HomeBase?
Yes. eufy S220 SoloCam can be connected to eufy HomeBase 3 in order to expand its
video storage capacity. However, please note that eufy S220 SoloCam is compatible
with HomeBase 3 only.
