- The Trade-In Program is available only to customers residing in the fifty U.S. states and the District of Columbia and is not available in other locations.
- Neither Trade-In Program eligibility nor the Trade-In Value offered by Samsung are transferrable to any other person or entity.
I guess I would suggest seeing if one of your US family members would log into your samsung account and use their US-based payment method to buy the device, and use their own address as the shipping address, so Samsung sends the device to them and your trade-in will go to Samsung from that same address too. You'd have to send the old device to the family member, and when Samsung emails you/them the shipping label for the old device trade-in, have them print it and slap it on the same box you sent them (they don't even need to open the box) and drop it off at FedEx. Then arrange for the family member to send you the new device. Keep in mind you only have 15 days from the expected delivery date of the new device to send in the old device. So I'd consider sending the old device to your family member ahead of time before the new one is purchased.Kinda complicated and IDK what it will cost to ship your old device to your family member and to have them ship you your new one, but that'll be something to consider.
I don't know if they'd accept a canadian S6 Lite but I'd probably just send it and cross my fingers. The terms do mention this:
"Your Trade-In Device must be labeled with an FCC ID to show that it is certified for use in the United States under applicable FCC regulations. The FCC ID number can usually be found printed somewhere on the mobile device. Sometimes it may be necessary to remove the battery pack to find the number. The FCC ID number can also be found in the user manual for each device."
So, does your device have an FCC ID on it? Not sure where it would be but a google search yielded a reddit page where someone said it can be found within the device by going to "Settings -> Device Info -> Status Info = there must be a FCC Certificate"
I bet the US and canadian devices are the same personally but IDK. Good luck.
Trade in value for S6 Lite is $250.
