Costco Wholesale Stores [costco.com] has the Leatherman Skeletool & Skeletool KBx Combo Pack on sale for $49.99. Shipping and handling are free.

This combo went frontpage in October of 2023 but was in store only.

I already have the inexpensive Leatherman Bolster from Costco and just need to find a reason to pick up on of these....
If you purchase something through a post on our site, Slickdeals may get a small share of the sale.

This is a crazy good deal. More than worth it for the skeletool alone. Leathermans warranty is second to none. Break it and they'll send you another.
is there a skeletor masters of the universe special edition??
Just an fyi, the TSA will allow you to mail yourself back a knife or tool. This is assuming you're not in a hurry which for me is almost never. But on one occasion my wife had her leather man in her purse while flying. She mailed it back to herself at the airport. Had the tsa person not suggested it, she would have had to lose hers as well.

Is the blade in the CX so superior that it's better to seek out a deal on that instead?

So this kit is made in USA, even the knife? Incredible value if it is.

Is this available in store?

Genuine question. What do you use it for primarily? Hiking or do you leave it in the car for emergencies? It looks cool but I don't know when I'll use it

I was able to get this last year at this price around black Friday. The tool and knife are really great. The knife is especially sharp. As others have said, Leatherman warranty is very good which makes this deal even better. This is a no brainer if you're looking for a multi tool like this.

No. "Made in America of US and global materials" is on a lower banner on their website because they have used some foreign parts with Oregon assembly for a couple decades. I believe the arc is fully US based and the micra at least used to be. Otherwise the tools are globally sourced.

just curious; whats everyone using the multitool for?
Seems handy in a bugout bag, camping, but otherwise it doesn't seem like it would get much use day to day for me (don't camp that often).

No clue either. I'm not an electrician/handyman. And I can't stand multi tools cause none of the gadgets work as well as the real thing. I carry one on the motorcycle and another in the bike bag, but none in the car.

Yeah went oos when I tried to check out either this morning or last night... Had it in my cart but didn't place the order as I was debating buying some wire shelves at the same time. Should've just checked out with it, oh well.. should be back again at some point.

I used to carry one of these everywhere with me. When you need it you'll have it. Amazing how many use cases show up while you have one on hand.

This really comes down to your need for pliers, as it has very few other tools. That and the proprietary bits makes it a tougher sell for me. I pocket carry a mt when needed, and have a pst2, wave, and powerlock. When I want to go smaller I use an sak, vic or boker; scissors based micra or shortcut, or an old queen electrician slip. Think my next will be a powerpint, though this might be a gift pickup for someone else.
There's an adapter extension that lets you use regular bits if you need. Otherwise I personally like the small form factor of these bits.

Me personally I like that it's actually usable as a knife and doesn't feel like a total compromise when doing so. The screwdriver feature is good for not tight things, it's a little challenging to leverage for anything tight but in a pinch its useful. The pliers are also excellent as pliers. I feel like it does a lot less stuff than most multitools, but also does those things much better than other multitools.
To get a little extra torque with the screw driver open the other handle to have an L shape and use it like a "T" handle.
