Everything seems to be near perfect except the RAM size, especially not being upgradable kills the deal..

It's a decent system, however looks like the battery life is bad (4 hrs or less) according to most reviews.

I have this laptop, got it refurbished from ebay. I really like it.

Pros:
Display is fantastic, performance is snappy, and built quality is great. Premium feel. The corners make holding the laptop really comfortable. The speakers are awesome. I am really happy with the speaker bar (especially after the Asus zenbook 14x oled with annoying bottom firing speakers) .

Cons:
The battery life could be better though. Not an issue for me since it's always plugged in.

Another issue, a 3rd party pen (dell pn579x) introduces weird laggy behavior though. For example, depending on the cpu load, if you lift the pen off the display & place it back down (basically writing a word then moving the pen to start another word), it'll lag, causing wild lines to be drawn. The included pen doesn't suffer from this issue as much but it's not as comfortable to use and has one few button.

Fan noise is persistent even with minimal intensive tasks such as YouTube especially in tent or tablet mode. This is on power efficiency mode or balanced mode. Desktop mode on a large desk mat does muffle the fan noise so it's less noticeable.

The laptop gets noticeably warm near the speaker bar above the keyboard after prolonged load.

Lastly, I recommend the darker gray color because the keys are easier to see in all lighting conditions. But the silver/beige looks amazing as well.
