"Ultimately, the difference between the three formats isn't that important. The quality of the TV itself has a much bigger impact on HDR"

Not sure if it's worth getting an open box - fair for ~1400 with 5 year geek squad. Caveat is that $373 of the dollars saved comes in the form of a Best Buy credit that I would have to use in store.
Or
~1400 new from Samsung with 1 year Samsung warranty + 2 year credit card warranty + free install. Maybe I can get extra warranty from a third party if that's an option.

I was originally going to go Samsung.com, but I know this TV will be used heavily in family room, so burn-in protection is #1 to me.
EDIT: Out of Curiosity what wall mount do you recommend for this tv
I'm using thisone.
PERLESMITH UL Listed TV Mount for Most 37-82 inch TV, Universal Tilt TV Wall Mount Fits 16"- 24" Wood Stud with Loading 132 lbs & Max VESA 600x400mm, Low Profile Flat Wall Mount Bracket PSLTK1 https://a.co/d/4IsYCxi
Ill go with the LG. C4, smaller, but brighter and better.

Ah maybe I'll go back and do the Best Buy deal instead, that is really nice of their warranty to do that.
I think I'll try to find a 3rd party burn in warranty provider if I'm too lazy and decide to just keep the Samsung order I have.
There's no way to turn it off on my Sony TV.
I would have to use an external streamer to do so....

I have had that very thing happen to me.. though it was during a time shortly after Covid
I had a few year old LG E7 with a very slight burn in. Almost unnoticeable
They asked me to email them a picture of my concern
About 10 days later they sent me a Best Buy gift card for my original full purchase price .
Due to the fact that prices had come down I was able to buy a nicer model with the first card.
Sold the old TV as is on marketplace for $300
I didn't see that in my research. Not disagreeing, just curious where you're getting that information from? It may influence my warranty decision.
With the 5 year, this is pretty safe. Although costco has a better deal right now. Much cheaper, same TV.
I actually got the TV on Samsung's website for 1656.
S89 was sold out for me.

This was for a new one I'm assuming? I'm gonna try to convince them to add free mounting on my open box order today.
