Price was not my question...you could get a brand new pioneer lx505 for $650
I posted these Sonys because you don't often see them at these discounts, and for a certain few nothing else will do. The short warranty does offset the low price to a degree, but it's enough time to set it up, put many hours of use on it, and make sure that everything is 100%. Maybe I'm super lucky, but I've owned many receivers and have never once had to file a warranty claim.

Thanks for posting! It's not the right time for me to invest in a home audio setup, but I absolutely want to build it around the STR-AZ5000ES.

I'm not sure if all Sony receivers are like this, but mine ran really hot. I had to put a few USB powered 140mm fans on top to keep them cool. My Onkyo runs a lot cooler.
