Can you use them without subscription with local recording?

They are okay for the price. Whenever it detects a person it sends an alert 'Human Body Detected ' . Lol

I bought these one time when they were on sale. The first camera died after about a month and would no longer charge or connect to the hub. The second camera met the same fate a few weeks later.

I bought 2 sets a few years ago when it went on sale for home surveillance, with it you can connect 4 to a home base (which this one has pictured but no description about it).

I Have it saving to a SD card, no subscription and I'm pretty happy with it overall. The more used camera which is the front of the house/street needs to be recharged about every 3 months, the others last about 6 months. AI human detection isn't the best but movement detection works fine. Overall I'd buy it again if I needed it.

Can the 2 cameras work independently or require a hub

Yes but alert time goes from like 3 sec to 8 without base

I have 4 of these connected to a single hub, and they're fine for the price. The app isn't great, but could be worse. Worst part is trying to pick out the motion clips, it's just unintuitive and difficult, but it works. Eventually. Battery lasts months depending on frequency of motion detection. Can store entirely locally on a micro SD card.

How is picking out clips difficult? It has a list of detection events with a screenshot and then you just click on the one you want to watch

For a $50, putting 2 wireless cams at inaccessible locations should be ok.

Inexpensive,
no power cable,
battery lasts long enough,
local recording,
no monthly subscription.

I think I will take the chances and give it a shot.
Please note that I am adding these in additions to Wyze that have put but due to power supply I could not get them to all places where I wanted to have a camera.

You won't be disappointed, idk how some people are having issues with app. I use it on my iPhone 14 and haven't had any issues at all, the only thing is the quality it isn't the best but for the price you can't complain.

This is by far the best I've used. Extra long battery life, record to a local SD card. Had issues 2 times and CS solved quickly for me. Wonder what you did to the camera.

Got this the last time it was at this price and it works fine. My only real gripe is the app and the fact I can't view multiple cameras at the same time. Someone correct me if I'm doing it wrong. I have to click each camera, one at a time to view it in realtime as opposed to having them both visible to me at once. And then they have 5 minute timeouts which I guess is what you get with battery powered cameras. Otherwise they work great
