Not really, no. Performax is probably better quality overall and it has a 10' cord vs. a 6' cord on the Bauer. I bought the Performax when they were similarly priced last year mainly because of the extra cord length and am happy with it.

I have one of these and it is decent. With the coupon, this is a ridiculous deal

Yes you can but it will take you a very long time. You can polish a car with a product like 3D One or 3D Speed but this only has a 3mm stroke. You'll need a 5" foam pad.

Here is a video of detailers using it.

Yes, i've done it before but.... make sure to block the holes or you will suck wax through the sander

I bought this sander with some minor discounts (ended up around $35). It's fantastic. Used it to build a bunch of DIY speaker boxes out of 1/2 inch MDF and this was a champ.

My old Bosch died and this is stronger with better dust control.

Thanks OP, got the last on at our local store. For some reason the guy at the register was surprised to see that price.

Slick! You bring up a good point about inventory; this deal goes through tomorrow (Sunday) while supplies last. I *think* there's no way to check online how many units a particular store has in stock.

This thing sucks, and no - not the dust. The dust catch eventually falls off after some use, many reviews stating the same, and the suction is terrible. The vibration this thing causes will make you want to cut off your hand after the job. Better off spending more for a quality product.

I've used the hell out of this sander, including today! Great piece of gear to have.

Is this good for sanding fiberglass? it's not a huge area i need to work, but youtube videos show air tool sanders, but that's overkill for what i need

In for one. I don't need it at the moment, but I never buy a tool when I need it. I buy them when they are on sale, like this one. Thanx OP!
