Bambino plus has a back off value for steam pressure release -- this QOL feature
And the porta filter is much better quality compared to regular Bambino.,-- this definitely makes difference in shot that's being pulled

Owned this for 2 years now. I'm more of a v60 pourover guy but I like a creamy cappuccino every now and then and don't want to drive somewhere to get it. This machine does the job. I paired it with a Baratza Sette and I can make a latte or cappuccino that rivals most coffee shops. Descale with vinegar every 9 months or so and it works like a champ.
what bottomless portafilter would you (or anyone) recommend? for a beginner.
thank you.
I just grabbed one off of amazon, with a wood handle. It really does not matter too much, just don't think you have to overspend and get the normcore version of everything. I would only recommend the normcore tamper as it is built well and also has self-leveling.
Also got the IMS basket for 54mm which breville is, I hated the stock basket as it did not help me dial my shots in very well.
Love my Bambino Plus. No waiting for it to heat up. Auto milk steamer works well. I achieved better results by re-programming the double shot timer along with only putting in 16.5g in the stock basket.

Can you link? I bought the ESP and seriously thinking of getting this set up. Thanks and repped
I've had it for 4+ years, use it everyday day. Broke down 3 years later (inner piping started leaking, which apparently is a common issue with this). Sent back to the company for a replacement covered by my credit card warranty. It looks nice but disappointed by its durability. I'd buy something else if my replacement fails.

edit: oops, that's actually the price with just the registry coupons and no redcard. it's $274.54 + tax with the 5% redcard discount
What registry coupons? You mean the circle ones? Can you link them as I can't find them.
