3ft x 4ft x 3/4in is on some sort of clearance. Free delivery or ship to store, but description says it weighs 50 lbs so shipping might be better. Bought 3 for my garage.

The only thing that sucks about tractor supply is you can't trust the pictures or material consistency. I bought mats at 3 separate times over 2 years and each time was different.
The first was definitely the best quality, second changed the pattern and were about 1/16 thinner (not enough to trip you, but enough to see and feel every time you step on it), third was far inferior and left crumbs everywhere. It also matches the first ones in height but the edges are not square. Yet they all share the same part number.
Still cheaper to buy a single horse stall mat from tractor supply. Those are .75" thick, sized 4' x 6' and cost $54. Only thing is you have to pick up in store due to high shipping costs.

You'd have to buy two of these from Home Depot to equal a single horse stall mat.
This looks like crumb rubber vs the vulcanized rubber used in the traffic master horse stall mat on HD. Also doesn't have the drainage ridges if that's needed. This is a good price but not as good of a product

Would this work well as a vibration dampening mat for a 3D printer?

Would very likely help. Probably would need to put a concrete paver between this and the printer. You could also just mount squash ball feet to your printer.

I've heard that horse stall mats have an offgassing issue, especially when they get hot. Would these mats have the same issue when placed in a hot garage?

The tractor supply one you linked is more like a big block the same stuff your tires are made of and also has studs on the bottom to allow air/water flow. This deal is compressed recycled particles and it looks like it's flat on both sides.

Many of these rubber flooring and rubber weights have the same offgassing issue. I'm guessing these would be the same.

I recommend leaving them outside for a few days (or a week) before placing them where you want.

Yes, but this isn't a deal. Tractor Supply has 4x6 mats for $57 (normal price). That's only $20 more than the 3x4 from HD, and they're twice as big. And the Tractor Supply mats have drainage feature.

These would work, but you'd be far better off with the Tractor Supply mats. You could even get by with just one of the TS mats. 6' is wide enough that the bumper plates on a typical barbell would both be contained within that 6' width. Whereas you'd need at least 2 of the HD 3x4 mats.
