Canon EOS R6 Mark II - Full Frame Mirrorless Camera (Body Only) - Still & Video - 24.2MP, CMOS, Continuous Shooting - DIGIC X Image Processing - 6K Video Oversampling - Advanced Subject Detection
FYI it's also available at Canon.com for this price.
This means you should be able to get it for ~$1,599 if you have another old Canon camera and call 1-866-443-8002 and purchase it through their upgrade program.
I did this on the $1,799 refurb deal back in March and got 10% off which worked out to ~$1,619. They stated that I just need a serial number and they didn't require me to return the older camera.
My understanding is you get 10% off for a refurb item , and 20% off for a new item, which would make this even a better price than the refurb deal in March. I'm tempted to buy another lol.
Additionally, the R6 Mark II w/ the RF24-105mm F4-7.1 IS STM Lens Kit is also on sale for $2,299. So if you did the upgrade w/ that package it would be ~$1,839
Finally, I didn't take advantage of this, but I remember someone mentioning that they also got the discount on EF-EOS R adapter that they purchased with the camera. YMMV on this.
I'm sure you all know but there are no Tamron or Sigma lenses for Canon FF. Not only are those lens stellar but they are more affordable than Canon lenses. That was the only thing preventing me from buying this camera.
Can we just use the adapter for the older EF lenses I already have?

Good price, and matches what it was selling for around Christmas. I snagged one from Adorama, and it also included an additional, OEM battery and memory card. This camera will be in service for a very, very long time.
Good price for brand new. I picked up the refurbished listing with loyalty discount and paid around 1720 post-tax. Camera arrived looking brand-new with a 0 shuttercount. It's a great camera.
I also purchased the neweer extender grip and some extra batteries. Easily made it through multiple days of shooting at Disney parks.
Even if the R5II is around the corner it's going to cost more, and for a lot of folks the R6 Mark II easily covers plenty of use cases. 4K 60 no-crop, fast continuous shooting (adopted from the R3) and plenty of excellent quality. Unless you really need a higher mp count for massive landscape shots I would skip the R5 II and go with this excellent camera.

A step in the right direction, but it looks like the first lenses coming will not be telephoto...
If it's $2000 msrp, then you can get it cheaper from greentoe. I got it for $1700 during the christmas sale when it was $2000.
I used Greentoe once for a Speed Queen washer. Terrible experience with delays, falsifying shipment information and refusing to verify a delivery date. Ended up giving them an ultimatum of deliver it a certain day they said they would and undamaged or give a refund. They gave a refund.

Never again would I try to use Greentoe.
That was a big appliance. I have bought over 10 lenses and cameras and have never had an issue. There's always issues with big appliances even if you buy directly from Home depot or Lowes.
