Apples pricing feels like it's all over the board with this line
Because M1-M2 is still very good and M3 is meh and they have huge surplus of inventory built up from COVID shopping frenzy.
But yeah. Upping from M2 to M3 is a $100 upgrade, while M2 8GB to M2 16GB RAM is a $200 upgrade. That shows how messed up their pricing is and that the RAM upgrade is about 2x more effective and value-adding than going M2-M3.
This is a really solid deal! I just don't want another 15" laptop, holding out for a deal on the 14". Been eying refurbs through Apple, using their card I can do 3% back and 12 month financing. Decisions decisions!
FYI, you can't do the 12 month financing in the refurb store unless they've changed something recently.

Ah dang, I did not realize this. Thank you for clarifying! I guess I could use my other 0 apr card, but then no sweet Apple Cash back. Oh well, if this is my biggest current problem in life I guess things are good haha.
Damn. I got 2 of them 15 inches.. I got M3s only because BB only had that model.. I was worried Im overspending until I got $400 trade-in for a 7 year old macbook from BB...LOL
It was a fantastic offer. I got a 13" from the same BB price matching scheme as I already have a 15" M3 Air.
Now I got 2 Airs but just me using it so I tend to switch them on/off depending on how heavy I want my bag to be lol
Got this exact model from microcenter open box for about $1200 open-box in November last year. I would definitely pay $1500 for this machine. It's fantastic.
The M1 MBP has a better display and even though it's an M1, it's still a better processor (more CPU/GPU cores). An M1 Pro is absolutely a better deal. Lots of people/sites compared the 2 when the M2 Air was released, and the M1 Pro was always the better option with the exception being battery life, which the difference was negligible.
Search SD, they come up for that price range periodically for Apple Certified Refurbished 16 inch M1 MBP. And everyone can tell you that the Apple certified Mac's are identical to brand new, both in appearance and warranty.

Are you sure they offer 12 month financing on their refurbs? I believe they only offer it on new ones.

No pro chip so makes more sense. Pretty good deal still.

$1080 M3 Air 13.6" 16GB/512GB was just fantastic. I thought it was good to pass up so even though I didn't need it I got one!
