This is difficult to describe in a title BUT I discovered Google is offering a lot more for trade-in's than yesterday.

For instance, yesterday they were only offering $60 for the trade-in of an Apple iPad 7th generation. BUT today they estimate a value of $399! -Expired. I even tried a first generation iPad Pro with a 10.5 screen and they estimated the same amount. And when I changed the iPad Pro to damaged but turns on, the value dropped to $200 value. That's still pretty good and is better than a previous recent deal.

https://store.google.com/us/config/pixel_tablet

PS. I need to add that this is for the 128GB WITH a Docking Station. You can choose the 256GB model for a $100 more, also WITH a Docking Station, or, the Pixel Tablet without a docking station for just taxes, depending on the tradei-n value of your tablet.

So I am dumping some older Ipads!!

QA note: Please see Slickdeals Frontpage post for additional trade-in options.

Negative, I've bought and picked up like 10+ Pixel phones at google stores with trade-in the past few years and they've always sent me a seperate box that I need to ship out for the trade-in.
Free trial account will not work.
If you happen to live near a physical Google Store, you can do the trade-in instantly in person so no delays or risks. NYC, Boston, and Mountain View.

Edit: I've personally traded in several devices (phones and watch) in Mountain View. In all instances they physically took the device and gave me credit instantly. I can't personally vouch for the other stores.

I'm showing only $125 for iPad 7th gen, and $85 for 6th gen.
Looks like 8th gen or higher to see $399 trade-in value.

Wow that was fast

Mine show up today. Not even gonna open it till trade value goes through. Hopefully we don't get shafted. Good enough for Netflix and surfing.

This product is in its last days…this sale is very likely a phase-out as this price has been around before ($200-$300).

Popularity has waned and been almost inexistent for this thing.

I ended up getting 20 iPad 6th gens from eBay for $109 each including tax. Also got the 10% store credit thru Google One. Bought them all before the 6th Gen trade-in value went back down 2 days ago.

So essentially my cost per Pixel Tablet is $109 for the no dock, and $209 for the one with dock. And I got the $900 store credit from all of this now that I will use towards the Pixel 9 Pro when it comes out.

So I posted these tablets up for sale for $250 (no dock) and $320 (with dock) on Craigslist and FB marketplace. Been getting ZERO interested buyers over the last 2 days.

I may have to lower my price to $200/250 if interest doesn't pick up.

Just seems like no one wants to by these tablets even if they are dirt cheap.

This is brave! You took on an enormous amount of risk!

Do you buy stocks? Even that would have been a safer play, haha

Are they the 256gb variants by any chance?

Google let you order that many? From what I've seen, they can limit the account after 4 or 5 of the same device ordered.

And at least for now avoid using paypal to checkout, the CB, Google Store and PayPal link has been broken for several months and doesn't count as a purchase. Used to work in the past but then something happened few months ago.
Humm good catch, weird. Yeah, I used PayPal but through Google Pay (so that should probably be fine, CB site logged purchases). Also used PayPal Mastercard for an additional 3% back on PayPal purchases.

After using it for a little bit now. I can say the Pixel tablet doesn't hold a candle to any iPad within the past 3 years.

iPad
OS is just so much of a better experience

But for a free trade for an iPad I got 8 years ago, I'd take it.

I did the same thing except just 4 tablets, as wasn't sure if price would hold. Used some prior credit towards purchases, got 10% Google Store credit on rest, 2% cashback from cashback portals, and finally 3% cashback on PayPal credit card.

Not a fanboy, but I have completely given up on using Android tablets. Unless it's a phenomenal deal like this or some crazy Sammy deal.
