91.6% gold for 100% price. Pass!
I wonder how people will even buy when they are being taken for a ride.
Purity and Weight: The Krugerrand is made of 22-karat gold, which means it contains 91.67% gold and 8.33% copper. The Krugerrand weighs 33.93 grams, which means it has a full troy ounce of gold or 31.1 grams and the rest is copper.
You get the same 1 Troy ounce of gold content as you would any other 1 ounce 24k gold coin except it also includes other metals to make the coin more durable. This is similar to the American Eagle.

Lots of misinformation about Krugs, thanks for clearing that up. its still 1 troy oz of gold.

Regardless of wether this is a good deal I'm learning a lot. If I understand correctly the krugerrand does contain 1 Troy oz of gold but has added copper for strength so if you were to put it and an eagle on a scale the krugerrand would weigh more. Am I correct?

No. The Eagle and the Kugerrand weigh the same at 33.93 grams as they are both 91.67% gold (but still have 31.1 grams or 1 Troy ounce of gold) in addition to other metals.
However, other 1 ounce 24k gold coins like the Maple or Buffalo (31.1 grams / 1Troy ounce), weight less than the Eagle/Kruggerand.

This will come in handy, as I'm currently incarcerated, and need an easy way to bribe my fellow inmates to not gawk at my beautiful adult daughter when she visits

Thanks for the info. I admit I did not see that on their site and had to google it. My mistake.
