What makes these games worthless is that you have to install and use the Ubisoft launcher and Ubisoft always online DRM even if it's a single player game. Hated it when their servers weren't reliable and my single player game would stutter

Great prices on great games! I've enjoyed every one of them, even if it goes through UBI (never had a problem).

I was so disappointed by Watch_Dog's dishonest release, and how downgraded it was when it launched on XB1.

Years later, I was excited to revisit it on PC. I modded it out, upgraded the graphics, and made it look like that deceptive E3 trailer.

And you know what? It was like putting lipstick on a pig. Still a terrible, boring game.

If playing the first Watch Dogs game, the "Living Cities" mod is a must. https://youtu.be/1dBtwH5S2AI

These are polarizing games but I've played all of them and enjoyed 1 and 2. Stories aren't great but gameplay is generally fun and the world building is good. Legion I can't recommend to anyone, it's legit a terrible game. The "be anyone" feature is half-assed and the voice modulation system sucks. They were also supposed to add a co-op mode to Legion that they kept delaying and eventually scrapped completely, I even paid several months extra of Uplay+ with the hopes it was coming soon.

I really enjoyed the first. The 2nd was unbearable. Quirky tech nerds are always horribly represented in media

I highly doubt it. If you don't have the game in your Steam library I'm pretty sure Steam won't even let you buy the DLC (and for good reason).

The only games I have seen that semi work between services is a few EA games I 'own' on Steam also show up in my EA launcher app. Never seen that work in other direction or between any other services though.

Interesting timing, just finished Watch Dogs 1. Started it years ago when it was gifted to me right after buying my PS4 and got side tracked. Finally decided to launch it again on PS5 (avoided for years because it's on disc and got so used (= lazy) switching though digital games).

I loved it. For me it managed to avoid one of the biggest pitfalls of open world games which is to lose track of the main story due to the many meandering of side quests. I feel like every mission, either on the main branch or the side branches, is short and to the point that it was easy in a short game session to knock out a few side mission and then one main mission. So I would get my regular items & skills unlock and progress on the main story without losing sight of the plot. I also like the main story, largely about personal revenge with enough moral ambiguity to make it appealing.Traversal was much better than most other open world games too, and it never felt like a chore to reach my next objective (FFXV killed me there ...). One caveat for some is the driving is very arcadey, i.e. you will destroy many cars and other stuff before ruining you car, and will never die in a car crash. But for me it was a plus that made the traversal more fun as well as some mission much more enjoyable.

I'd say for a try for the price. There are people on both side of the fence on this one so you may get lucky and really enjoy it.

PS: forgot about the multiplayer / invasion system which surprised me, and kept me on edge (in a good way). Never paid attention to my environment so much, and never felt like that about every distant car screech or crash. Big Grin

Not the person you asked, but I've been playing with living city, fall of windy city, police and faction overhaul, + a few other minor mods. Living city breathes a ton of life into the game.

One note, the steam ver doesn't have multiplayer keys anymore, so the work around if you have a steam copy is to buy, download/launch a uplay only copy to get multiplayer activated, and then return the uplay copy. Between this, and the double drm//launcher required for the steam version, it's preferrable to just buy this directly from uplay//ubisoft connect when it's on sale there.
