I've played every Assassin's Creed game since Black Flag and this one just isn't worth it. I played for a few hours and that's all I could do. Hopefully the next in the series is better.

I don't agree at all. Those 3 were very RPG-like and too much, imo. Thankfully, this game goes back to the old AC roots.
Also did you play unity? Worst AC game is a huge stretch.
They went back to using that stupid wanted poster system, where you have to tear down posters to get rid of your wanted level, otherwise some nearly invincible guy comes after you. This game also punishes you for almost every kill. It really forces you to do stealth, because if you fight out in the open, you start getting a wanted level. I love stealth, but sometimes I just want to throw down. Even when doing stealth, there is almost always someone around to see you do it, adding to your wanted level.
I found myself constantly running into restricted areas and having to run away from enemies when I was just trying to get to my next destination, because the city is so damn confined.
It also has a very boring main character and story. This isn't worth playing for free.
Only two enemy types in the entire game
Less weapons than the first Assassin's creed game
Story that is completely nonsensical regardless of how much peyote and LSD you consume
It feels like DLC for a game that doesn't exist. I guess it was originally planned as DLC for Valhalla where Basim was introduced.
Edit: Oh yeah the bonus quest is incredibly underwhelming. Takes an hour tops.
