FWIW they had the same spec with 1TB storage for $999 as well. The one i got was shipped from a BB outlet and had 3 battery cycles, only issue I could find was a small nick by the magsafe port. Great deal, but it's gonna be luck of the draw

Hey guys, I benchmarked a few games if you're interested. Resolution was 1920x1200 I think, graphic detail was medium/high

Rise of The Tomb Raider 2016 average was around 80fps.
Batman: Arkham City GOTY 2012 ran at 115fps
Metro Exodus 2019 doesn't have a benchmark on Mac, but fps fluctuated between 50-100 so my guess average is around 60-70.
Borderlands 2 I couldn't get fps to show up but felt pretty smooth. Would've loved to see how Borderlands 3 performs, but looks like there's no Mac port for it.

Hades is not a 3d game, but so gorgeous. I couldn't get fps to show up on it either, but felt like it ran at full 120fps while at 3k resolution with barely any fans working. Buttery smooth.

This is on a 14" 512GB M1 Pro which is slightly weaker than the one they put in 1TB MBP or 16" MBP. If port is done well and game is about 10 years old, then this system has no problem running those games at playable frame rates with no dedicated GPU.

I received mine already, 14" MacBook Pro 16GB/512GB that was $949. It shipped from a store about 60 miles way and arrived in less than 24 hours. It came in a white box with the laptop in bubble wrap, and the MagSafe power cable wrapped separately. There is no Apple box or anything else. The MacBook itself is mint, I can't find a single scratch on it and it was quite clean. There are 67 charge cycles with 95% battery performance remaining. It is the 8 core CPU version as specified in the product description on Best Buy's site (I was secretly hoping it was the 10 core version the same model can be configured with). The screen is noticeably larger than my MacBook Air (as expected). I plan to run a few benchmarks on it to make sure there aren't any issues but it seems like a keeper for $949.
