I run an ITX build and I 100% prefer a 5700X3D for my build, even if they were both $200. Less heat with minimal loss in performance. It leaves no concern about being throttled (I only have a 120mm AIO) which will also keep it cooler in my case to keep a MSI Aero (blower design) 4070ti running better. Maybe the 5800X is better for "you" but despite what you think, it's not for everybody.
If you're not already on AM4, I'd consider grabbing this instead:

and RAM, grab this set of RAM with Hynix for $95 shipped:

GPU, let your budget decide! You won't be CPU limited. If all you can afford is a 7900 GRE or something in the 4080-4090 series, you won't be CPU limited
However, if you're already on AM4, then I'd grab this CPU (assuming your bios can be updated to support this chip. I wouldn't build anything on AM4. only upgrade if you already have it.
If you have a Microcenter near you, grab one of the AM5 CPU/MB/RAM combos. If strictly gaming, go 7800X3D, but if you need the PC for heavy lifting outside of gaming, that 7900X3D MB/CPU combo is a good buy.

5800x3d
16gb ram
it was like $28x.xx after bundle discounts
breaks down to $95 mobo $38 ram $155.75 cpu
I'll just bundle sell the mobo ram and my current cpu ( 3600x ) and swap the chip.
Hey I'm itx too and stuck with am4. I have an 2600x.
Why is this 5700x3d better than the 5800x?
The 5800x is 159 on amz vs 205?
I'm genuinely curious as too what is the better option and not looking to fan the flames of an argument! Lol

Hey troll... give it a rest. You are 100% incorrect. The 5700X3D will handily outperform the 5800X when it comes to gaming. Quit spreading misinformation. Unless you're just trying to look stupid? If you are then it's working.
It looks like maybe $250 was the recent lowest for the 5900x.
You may want to check some older threads about the 5800x too. I remember reading that a lot of people prefer the 5700x because it's much less power needed for very minimal performance loss compared to the 5800x. But maybe you can just power throttle manually on the 5800x.
*edited to specify the max of the 30% off is $30

I was only referring to gaming, the vcache on the X3D is beneficial for games.
5800X is a good chip too though, especially if not gaming. If your ITX build isn't for gaming, clock for clock, go with the cheaper 5800X. I was just saying in my case (no pun intended), the 5700X3D is my choice

Unless you're having issues I don't think it'd be worth the cost, that's a great chip.
