SVS prices are kind of a joke post-COVID. Only a few outlet items here are "steals" imo and most are sold out. Pretty meh deal.
There's plenty of competitors building quality products at a lower price (PSA, RSL, etc.). Even the constant Klipsch sales on the rp1400sw and rp1600sw are better deals than this.
SVS has always had quality products and amazing customer service. They used to also have great value, but they now price themselves as a luxury product. They deserve to capitalize on the brand name they've built; I'm just pointing out that the days of their prices being "slick" appear to be behind us.
Agreed. Sale prices are just normal prices not that long ago. I think all the !!!! on everything is a bit overstated. I still like their subs, but they are not the bargain they once were.

Thanks for the heads up on the RP-1400SW, it's still on sale. I wanted to upgrade my old 12", low end sub, with the SVS PB-1000 pro, $499. Now, I see the RP-1400SW for $700 which is more than I need but wow, the specs on that sub are amazing!
PS - I have to wait on buying a new sub....the Boss is watching me like a hawk!
You talk like you literally work for your wife. Sad!
I had a PB-1000, just be warned, they are quite large, be sure to measure where it will go. Once we rearranged our living room I ended up selling it and getting the RSL 10s MKII that was a front page deal on SD. Honestly, I much prefer the RSL, it is substantially smaller and sounds better IMHO. Wish I could get that 10 Pro though!
I totally agree with you about the prices of so many things today. But, on the other hand, I would rather pay more for quality like SVS subs and speakers than seeing SVS start making their subs cheaper to lower the price.
there are certainly some quality subs cheaper or same price but better performance. All are direct sale retailers though and won't beat SVS on customer service. Hsu and Rythmik are two that come to mind. There is also Power Sound Audio which is owned by Tom Vodhanel. He is the V in SVS. Yet Power Sound Audio options are all pretty much "do you want a subwoofer that weighs 1 ton and only blows out your windows, one that weighs two tons and blows down your walls, or one that weighs 3 tons and levels your neighborhood."
There is also RSL for great value.
For the record I have a full SVS surround system with PC 2000 subs so I am not pointing people away from SVS. They are great. Yet there are other options that are also fantastic.
During the Black Friday sales last year I bought an SVS PB-2000 Pro. It was a nice sub but I ended up returning it for the Klipsch RP-1400SW.
I did some side by side comparisons of the two on the same home theater setup, and my wife and I both preferred the Klipsch. It's a screaming deal for $700. Even if it was the same price as the SVS I would have preferred the Klipsch! The only knock against it is that it's a huge box haha.

RSL is accepting orders for the 10s mkii right now for $449, with shipping expected in mid June. Just in case anyone wants one or misses these SVS deals
Are either of the center channel offerings even worth looking at anymore? The ultra has been replaced by the evolution and the prime is over ten years old now.
I wonder if somebody can help I have never heard the speakers play can you send me you all tell me if these speakers are really really good and sound fantastic or is it just a mediocre one that's good enough thanks a lot.
They had a few PB1000's for $399 when the sale went live which since they raised their prices is the only one I'd even consider. I have 2 of them plus a PB1000 Pro and prefer the non pro. I also have a PB4000 that is crazy for movies but not worth the current price imho.

I have looked up PSA. All their prices are ALOT higher. Maybe I'm looking at the wrong company? Not questioning you. I'm in the market for a sub so I'm just trying to find the best bang for the buck. Not klipsch though. I will have all of their speakers for my room but the subs are HUGE.

Sad? Come on, man, I'm joking. But I do buy a lot of toys for myself so I understand.

NVM, both are sold out right now, ugh.

This question comes up in the SVS discussion quite often. Go with 2 x PB-1000.
