I think its kind of ugly
And the name is stupid.
Its litteraly just a really big iphone. Looks almost comical.

Seriously? The iPad? My fiance's first thoughts - "what's with the name, are they trying to appeal to women?"
It's a big urlhasbeenblocked/iphone. And this is something they've been working all this time? Who cares? I also don't see how this will effect e-books, because if I was ever going to buy one, it would still be the Nook or Kindle for their "friendly on the eye" screens.
What do you guys think? I'd be VERY surprised to see 10 million sold this year.
Latest quote you know is BS: ""What is the battery life like? We've been able to achieve 10 hours of battery life. I can take a flight from San Francisco to Tokyo and watch video the whole time. And it has over a month of standby time.""
YEAH, right. Your "7 hour" battery life on your MBPs are more like 4 hrs at best. Maybe this is 10hrs on the lowest brightness, no wifi, and staring at the home screen.
People are scrambling to Apple stores nationwide as we speak just to be the first to get their hands on it.
Im holding out official judgment till I hear the price, If its over 700 Its a fail.

ok i'll admit i'm an apple consumer. there are some academic advantages to the macbooks (for my work anyways) and productivity advantages for the iphone.
but having those two items...i feel no need for this tablet thingy.
