For those of you thinking of using this tent as a car port or other semi-permanent type of structure, it's not.

It's made to take up and down, not withstand months of continuous abuse from the elements.
Transporting is almost the same as carrying 2 of the 10x10. the sucky part is that you definitely need 2-3, preferably 4 people to set up and breakdown. Otherwise you gotta have it all bent while you set up by yourself.
Repped. Bought this in July to store the contents of our garage in the backyard while we painted/epoxied the floor. Had it up for about a month and was sturdy and exceeded my expectations. $99 is a steal.

I really like the price and size of this unit. Just may be too large to handle by yourself for transport.

Any DIY engineers in the house?

Would I be able to modify the build at all? Would like to cut off the top canvas and replace it with a bamboo matt as the roof. Would the frame still hold up? Or is the roof canvas needed to support the frame and hold it all together?

I would not advise doing that. The canvas certainly comes off, but these frames are not made to support the weight of a full palm thatch roof. Unless this bamboo product is a lot lighter than the palm thatch panels widely used around here..... These frames are pretty flimsy. Unless you buy one of the more expensive and sturdier built commercial type units, I would not attempt to thatch it.

You'd be better off with one of the more permanent type canopy or an actual tiki bar frame.

Won't load for me. "Temporary system issues" on the app. Website "page cannot be found". Deal is dead.
