User Submitted Deal Sites

LatestHotelsDeals.com [LatestHotelsDeals.com] This site searches and compares Expedia, Hotels.com, Booking.com, Holiday Inn, Priceline, lastminute.com, Marriot and more so you can always get the best price.
www.kayak.com
www.yapta.com Yapta is still BETA... it cannot store information on most airlines. But it will search for your BOUGHT tickets as well, and get you a refund if the price goes down. This is the only site that will do that.

www.itravel2000.com Great booking bonuses (i.e. free giftcards, etc...)

www.farecompare.com

www.travel-ascending.com/ Travel-Ascending Discount Travel
www.cheapoair.com [cheapoair.com]
http://www.cheapflights.com/
http://www.bookingbuddy.com/
http://www.igougo.com/ [igougo.com] Opens up new airline sites in popups (for thorough searches)

http://www.usairwaysvacations.com/ has good vacation package rates that don't show up on the travel searches

http://www.allinclusiveoutlet.com/- have not seen any prices better than this site

www.tripalertz.com [tripalertz.com] this site has great deals they are somewhat new but have gotten a lot of press check it out
you do have to sign up first, but they will not spam you.

http://www.missiontravel.org/- If you are ever going on a humanitarian or mission trip (working with some kind of a non-profit), don't book your airfare until you've checked missiontravel.org first. With contracts from airlines for (oftentimes significantly) lower fares if it qualifies as a humanitarian flight. They can also book air originating from any country, not just the USA.

Try and check travel sites early Tuesday mornings at like 6am. My friend told me that's when airlines release their flights. It has worked for me in the past. Flights absolutely go up closer to the holidays. You will find no more expensive tickets than closer to Christmas and Thanksgiving. I would try and book my flight as far in advance as possible.

Do airline flights vary by day? Do airline flights go up or down closer to the holidays (Christmas)? Or should you book in advance for best prices? Any suggestions. Want to go to FL to visit mom for Christmas

I need a holiday flight special C'mon Christmas gift for me!

Thx ill try. I am a first time train/bus rider. Any travel deals right now or amtrack codes?

Plane: Should I just hope for a standby flight? But for now flights are, 800+

Train: How much is it usually? I'm thinking of doing amtrack. Ticket to florida christmas break is too expenisive, after christmas is cheaper. $231.00 --

West Palm Beach, FL (WPB)
Duration: 25 hr, 39 min
I need to see my family and I need to be back in time to study/work again.

Would it be worth it for me to travel by plane, train or bus-- or rent a vehicle to travel from NY to FL over Christmas break. Everything is $600 and ^

Another site that compares hotel prices from all major booking sites is http://hotels.yourtripto.com/. They also have a section with all sorts of travel deals from sites like expedia, orbitz, etc.
