it is not for everyone, some paypal accounts have this offer, and you have to save offer in paypal account before placing order.

I have this and it's a great power supply. I think I paid a little over this price and I would do again.

Great price. I have the previous version of this.

I almost bought that PSU, but then I saw the review that the cables were short and I have a large case, so that wouldn't work for me. I did end up buying this same Corsair 1000x and it worked out just fine.

Thank you, I missed the last Newegg deal on this PSU. The PayPal 20% made it even better.

That may be so, but Paypal sent an email out stating that the total credits given out have been met and the promo has expired. I wouldn't expect you to actually get the points.

Edit: I guess the case is that the original promo expired. They issued a new one limited to a single transaction.

I love these zero RPM PSU's. I put one in my UNRAID box, and installed it upside down (exhaust into the case). It's usually enough draft to keep the power supply fan off, and the case fans move plenty of air in/out. I generally only hear the PSU fan when the parity check is happening once a week.

Which one is better? or are they both on A tier list on the cult list? I'm trying to decide which for my son's PC. I just got him a 5080 and i know his current PSU is not going to be enough. Thanks.

What CPU is he using? If using x3d chip with 5080, then 850W PSU is more than enough and may even be more efficient than using a 1000W PSU. But if you are set on getting 1000W for possibly getting a 5090 or future 90 class card then there are several good options in this range: the MSI A1000GS, Montech Century II 1050W, the Bequiet 13M 1000W, and this Corsair 1000W RMx. If you count the $30 steam code and extra 8pin cables with MSI A1000GS, then probably the best deal overall. If you want to avoid rebates the Montech 1050W is a solid deal at $99. Be quiet is also good deal at $111. The Corsair is a bit expensive for the name brand imho. All four are A tier on SPL tier list but some have certain pros and cons vs others.

He's still rocking a ryzen 3700x. He won't upgrade his cpu until he graduates from college this spring. Figure the GPU and new power supply should be suffice until he's ready to upgrade the rest. I ended up buying the be quiet because it's from amazon compared to BH. The MSI seems sold out and I didn't want to jump through hoops with rebates. Thanks for the tips!
