This prize does include $1,000 visa gift card. When I won my big trip I saved the $1,000 spending money for taxes. If I won a trip like this, where it's for 4 people, I would ask my guests if they would be able to chip in like $100 towards taxes. Still a great deal for them and it eases the financial burden.
