Castle on ABC

Anyone else watch this?

Unfortunately I missed last week's episode, so last night's didn't quite explain itself and left me lost for a little bit. It was still pretty good though.

I haven't seen many episodes (only started watching about a month ago) but I think it's a pretty good show.

It's sorta like NCIS, without the Navy: pretty bizarre murders that take a somewhat predictable turn and then magically get solved before the episode ends.

I thought when Beckett and Castle were trapped in a freezer as a nuke bomb was potentially going to go off somewhere in NYC was a really serious episode, but once you cross the line and kidnap Alexis, all hell with break loose! EEK!

I liked the reference to the movie "Taken" and TV show "Missing". Next Mon. brings a new episode, one that appears to have the humor slant that most of the "Castle" episodes do. nod

That was a funny and a little scary episode on Mon. Not too shabby, but too bad no Alexis. But at least no grandma. So I guess that's a wash.

I finally got around to seeing "Castle". It was great to see them combine the movies "Disturbia" and "The Game". Cool

I wonder if Castle will be limping around in future episodes since in the show, he has a broken knee and that kind of injury doesn't get cure overnight or between episodes (unless they FF 4 months into the future between episodes).

I never got the feeling that each episode was 1 week after the next one. Some are immediately after, some could easily be a month or two after. I don't think they'd have to "fast forward" substantially to just progress past it.

True that it's not equally spaced in episode time as it is in our time. But for the most part, they need to make each season in episode time last about 1 year in our time. For example, last season, Alexis was college shopping and now she's a freshman. So, re: Castle's leg injury, they can't let too much time slip in episode time.

I've seen other quasi-non-serialized shows, like "Hawaii 50", where one guy gets a somewhat serious injury (equivalent to Castle's) and they hobble around for several episodes and then lose the cast or crutch.

That was a bit lame how Castle's broken knee healed so quickly. It was barely even mentioned until he and Beckett fell in that trap. WTF w/ Alexis looking like a smurf? She's still cute as ever. The Big Foot episode wasn't bad, had its humor. Next week, things will get serious. EEK!

Yeah, this was a very unique episode in that it featured the least amount of action ever and the most amount of flashbacks ever. The hairstyles also stood out to me and I'm glad Castle teased Beckett about it.

What was the 6-letter name he entered for William? They mentioned Billie, Willie, etc. I was hoping one of the other detectives asked Castle how he figured it out.

And that's cool how Sir Iron Capt. Gates has known about B&C being together and still let's them work together. nod
