Can someone here comment about the Disney Movie Club? I know that the full priced movies are overpriced but are there any real benefits? Do they offer sales that are really good vs buying at the stores?
TIA (I am considering the Blu-Ray club if that makes any difference).

If you consider the average, you'll be paying between $8-10 per blu-ray through the club. And this can include 3D titles, which have been available as pre-orders for $31.95. Plus, once you've fulfilled your commitment, you can cancel and start again. I've already done it 4 times in the past year and am about to sign up for a 5th round.

EDIT: Just remember to use code 17674B. This gives you 5 blu-rays for $1, your first commitment title for $11.95 and a bonus movie for $8.95. You'll have to buy two titles at full price (discounted pre-orders count as full priced titles) in two years.

The ones you have to buy to fulfill your obligations are expensive (esp with shipping, but you get a shipping discount on any additional movies in an order so I purchase a lot of my full-priced obligations together). However, the introductory package movies are very cheap. I definitely think you come out ahead. You can get movies really discounted, esp after buying one at full price. They have deals like buy one at full price, get all others at 60% off and such. Plus, they have deals where shipping can be free on extras, etc. I just got the Diamond edition (with digital copy) of Cinderella & Pete's Dragon for $40 shipped from there. If I bought both of those on Amazon it would have been about $50. I have had a good experience being in the club. As a bonus you get 500 DMR points when joining, but you have to make sure and go through the link on the DMR website.

No problem Smilie A couple of tips...You should always check the special offers tab (because there are usually several to choose from), otherwise it will just apply the one on the main banner to your order. You can choose to do no offer which helps if you want to get your commitment out of the way. When you become VIP (which happens after you fulfill your obligation), be sure to go select a pin when you're due one (you get one free whenever you order a full priced movie). You have to choose a pin, it won't remind you or automatically add one. I didn't want the pins so I sold them on eBay Smilie

If you use promo 17674B mentioned by rexxriot and you purchase the first bonus title ($11.95), you only have to purchase two more movies at regular club prices. But on the 500 DMR points offer, even if you purchase the first bonus title ($14.95) you must purchase four more movies at regular club prices. While 500 bonus points sounds like a good deal, you're paying more for your enrollment package ($29.90 vs $21.90) and you have to buy 4 more titles in 2 years rather than 2 titles in 2 years. That means you're paying about $60 more for those 500 points. It also destroys your average, so you'd be paying about $25 a title instead of $10.

The last 50 point code I've seen (for bonuspoints when you enter another) expired 10-15-12. Has the next one been found and posted yet? They seem to be available for the 1st & 15th of each month.
