Anyways, I joined the movie club for the 5 for $1 price. I wanted to go ahead and get my next two commitment movies together (to save on shipping) but they have a promotion where all subsequent DVDs are on sale (thus negating the commitment part). Anyone know of a way to not have to buy them that way? Also, do you get the same preorder goodies from going through the movie club as through the Disney store?

Unfortunately, I have never seen any special with pre-orders except a discounted price. Sometimes they offer two or three choices together discounted. No extra DMR points or lithographs ever come with them as far as I am aware of.
They do offer other random deals though (not with the featured selection/pre-orders). A while ago, I bought two dog movies (Up & Bolt) and I received a free dog plush (I chose Dug). Plus, once you fulfill your commitment, you get a free pin with every full priced movie you purchase. You have to purchase a full priced one to get almost any deal so you could get a free pin with just about every order. You have to pick one & add it to your cart though, they won't remind you. Hope that helps!
