I'm so disappointed and even a little angry with VS customer service.
I returned a bra and a panty in store as gifts and expected to receive some merchandise credits. I waited for a week and today I received a letter from VS. It is a check payable to the SENDER with my address on it! I cannot use it at all. I called VS customer service. They held me for 15 minutes and finally told that they couldn't cancel the check sent out or issue a new one. They asked me to ask my friend to cash the check for me. It is really embarrassing to tell her that I didn't like the gifts and ask her to cash it! However, if I don't tell her, neither she nor I will get the money back and VS will make the money for selling nothing! |

But...the check is not for her...I don't see how Chase allows you to deposit a check that is not made out to you?!? |

I really don't get it. Maybe she uses our landline when she's inputting a phone number into the keypad. But I have my cell phone listed on my VS account, which would link me to an address...so why doesn't ANY phone number work if it's linked to a specific account? |

i know at compass bank (and have done this at other banks too), if the original recipient signs for it, then the account holder signs it, then you can deposit it. maybe you can just sign their name and your name (obviously different signatures) and try it? or call your bank ahead of time (and state that the individual doesn't have a bank account) and explain it to them. this is the beginning of the rest of your life! ![]() ![]() |
