I would sure love some good Target clearance. I think I am going to wait for 90%. Would like to find some disposable stuff like plastic tableware.

Hoping for a good new year in 2015. The last two years have not been my best.

The issue with clearance this year is that folks have been buying like it's going "out of style" at 30% off. Not much hope to see stuff still in the store unless folks play hide and seek with it.

I'm waiting on 70% off Dollar $pot, as I bought Almond Roca last year and it was yummy at 7.5¢ a piece (pkg'd in sets of four). I don't eat if often (bought 10 pkgs last year and still have 4), but I try and savor each piece that I choose to eat.

No? Must just be me then... Mine is bacon. If I get it for $2 or less a lb, I'm all over it (regardless that I have probably 20 lbs of bacon between my freezers).

I wish I could find bacon for $2 or less a lb. Only on very RARE moments do I find some bacon clearanced that I can drop in the freezer for a great price. I hate to say it, but lately $3.99 a lb has felt like an ok deal on bacon. I can't force myself to buy the $7.99 a lb packs. shake head

At least twice in the past 6 months, Publix has included the Smithfield thick cut shelf stable (pre-cooked) in a B2G1F sale (Publix allows Qs on the freebie) and I had $1/1 Qs and a competitor Q to use. I use this for my turkey club sandwiches I take to work (heating the bacon up in the microwave with paper towels... everyone at work follows the bacon smell down to my office though)

I had a rain check for the Smithfield thick cut (regular) bacon 2.99/lb from Kroger and had the $1/2 which I felt like I had to use. I have a bunch of the Wright Slab bacon but haven't thawed any out to cook yet.

I remember the good old days of that $2 Farmland Bacon MQ, when you could buy 20 of them on eBay for about a buck. That scored you 50¢ bacon at Walmart and I had a freezer full. Now I consider the $3.99 sales a bargain, but only get a few packs at a time. Fred Meyer (a Kroger chain) runs them at $3.99 a few times a month. I can't believe how the regular prices are about $7 a pack now, sheesh!

I get my bacon from Sam's Club - its 3 lbs of brand name for $10, I think. Best price around town that I have found.

Hope everyone had a wonderful Christmas and is enjoying a relaxing New Year's Day! We are recovering from our final (and biggest) Christmas get-together last night. Now we have a TON of gifts and stocking stuffers to put away.
