I didn't get anything changed over from Alabama until after March of this year because I was sure this was a permanent move

and when you know people in high places you can get things done, I can still go to SPSU for their fall semester if I want even though applications had to be in by July 1st. I just don't have the money or time this semester

An independent student must reside in Georgia at least 12 months during which time there is no full-time enrollment in an institution of higher education and there is proof that the primary purpose for being in Georgia is other than for an education.
nonresident students financially dependent upon parents or spouses who have been legal residents of Georgia as stated above (financial dependency must have existed for at least 12 consecutive months immediately preceding the date of registration);
although apparently I can use my employment as proof (which makes it Nov. of this year and not March of next year)
Evidence of Legal Residence, Including but not Limited to: Georgia income tax return; voter registration card; motor vehicle driver's license; motor vehicle registration showing ad valorem tax paid; employment information; military home of record and earnings report; deed or lease for home property.
