Hi all,

I started this thread for anyone who wants to come here for lite discussion, jokes, and just general discussion and fun.

Everyone is welcome!

I was thinking that maybe it would be helpful to keep the original thread to a bit more of a serious discussion of the clues and answers.

This would make the original thread more useful to those seeking serious information and clues without having to read through hundreds of extraneous messages.

So, I hope it catches on !

So pop a beer and pull up a chair and relax !

I know how to make my own also, very easy. Get the little cups that look like cupcake cups, melt chocolate chips in micro till smooth pour a little in cups put a half of a caramel in the chocolate melt a little more in micro and add what ever kind of nuts you like, cheapest is peanuts then cover with more melted chocolate and you have turtles. Keep them in the frig or freezer or they will melt.

ok LOL thats enough. I might even say it again not knowing. LOL
Thanks for sharing. I'll have to try your method sometime. My way is more difficult but the finished candy looks like the candy store variety. I lay out half pecans in groups of 3 on buttered (or butter sprayed) parchment paper or aluminum foil on cookie sheets. In the microwave, in a 2 cup glass measuring cup, I melt caramel (best luck so far with Krafts Premium caramel bits) that I mix with a small amount (1-2 teaspoons) of half and half. I pour the caramel over each group of nuts and let it set. Then I melt Wilton light chocolate in the same cup I used for the caramel (after washing it out of course). Then I dip the caramel nuts into the chocolate and put on parchment paper. Yummy. I buy the chocolate at Michaels, Joanns, or Hobby Lobby.

But why would I make them when I can hopefully get wishalot to send me some? laugh out loudlaugh out loud

My girls and I make Buckeye Balls (peanut butter/butter/powered sugar balls dipped in chocolate) every year at Christmas. Have to make a TON so we have plenty to share with family & friends.

My sister makes the candy...sometimes peanut-brittle, but usually Old English Toffee. Tasty stuff! Then, we share with each other & our kids, so we all have plenty of goodies.
sounds like what we used to do. good times

yah but I forgot to put in a fourth of a bar of parifin wax with the chocolate chips when melting.

Get an Eastwing, they are the best. Hope I spelled that right. Just don't go to the hardware store and ask for an East Wing, it is pronounced estwing. LOL Eastwing straight claw, best hammer I ever owned.

Yeah, Angiex57 pointed out that it had indeed been posted on SD already. Oh well, as long as it's posted so folks have a chance to get in on the contest, it's all good.
