AMDM Intelliseat Bidet Toilet Seat $149.99 at Costco. Updated with new lower price July 2012.

Update. The price is now $149.99 after an instant rebate. Good until 8/13/12.

I'm surprised to see it in a mainstream store like Costco. Could it be the US is finally joining the community of nations with clean butts? I never thought it would happen in my lifetime.

This seat normally sells for $499. Even on ebay it, goes for $349. I hear all the doors slamming from the ebay resellers rushing out to buy 20 or 30 of these. It's $199 at Costco. This was not there last week. This is actually pretty full featured. It even has a dryer. You should not need TP anymore with this except during blackouts. It doesn't have a negative pressure carbon filtration system. It's also made in Korea and not in Japan. Thus the low MSRP at $499. Having said that, with all it's features, it's a white hot deal at $199 especially with the godlike costco warranty.

Here's the manufacturer's link for reference.

costco just says "you have your receipt?" "is there anything wrong with it?" and "do you have the card you used to pay for it?"

Before anyone says something too stupid, just remember... a bidet like this is a God-send for a disabled person. And, to answer a previous post, are not just made for women.

Poke fun at your own moral peril.

Dude, don't even compare those disgusting dirty European things to these clean Asian ones. Using a European bidet is like taking a shower in sewer water. It's a bad design. Both the spigot and the drain are at the bottom of the bowel. So you are "washing" yourself with a mixture of your poop and fresh water. In an Asian bidet, that doesn't happen. The water shoots in from the side. It also cleans itself before and after each use.

Hardly. It's designed for people who practice good hygiene. I know many people don't like to. Come on, we've all seen it. Some dude in the next stall that doesn't wipe and thus thinks he doesn't need to wash his hands on the way out. Disgusting. A high end Japanese one would be perfect for someone like that. It does everything but pull your pants back up for you.

I've been looking at the $599 toto ones for a while now, but can't justify the price.

If this is $199 at my Costco I will be installing it this weekend.

Has anyone seen it at the Chicago Clyborn location?
