Ultimate Comcast / Infinity Internet deal- $19.99/Month for 1 year with no additional service required

Got Comcast installed today for the $39.99 Blast / 12 months promotion. Turns out the rep (even though I confirmed multiple times) put me on $29.99 Performance / 12 months promotion. Called Comcast and they said the billing department is closed and they can't fix me until tomorrow. Just warning to anyone who signed up to verify their package online after install.

Is this deal still on?

Hilbe: Did you call the number in the first page? I am looking into 12-month internet, but not sure how to get a deal with Comcast. Some info would be appreciated. I am moving to Houston, TX

Yes. Called and asked what promotions they had. Pretty simple.

Hmm we got offered 12 months of 19.99 performance internet last September. However, I checked the bill and it says:

"^internet promo 6xm"

6xm = 6 months?

Anybody else who got offered 12 months of the performance internet last August/September during those promos, can you check and see if your bill says the same?

Really concerned. My only hope it seems is that he was offered 12 months of promo, where the first 6 are at 19.99 and second 6 are 29.99 as I saw in the wiki others got this. But as far as he told me he was offered 12 months, 19.99, no contract.

I only got 29.99 for 1yr and my bill said the following:
XFINITY Internet
High Speed Internet 62.95
CHSI $29.99 X 12 Months -32.96
Total XFINITY Internet $29.99

I was offed $14.99 for 12 months 3mb. Device fee $7/m, the install fee $39.99, this fee is expensive.

ok i signed up about a month ago.1st month $50 deposit fee and $29.99 for 1st month.now i get a bill $24.99 plus $100 fees.i signed up for the $24.99 6mb 6 month package.i told her the guy told me there wasnt gonna be any install fees.


Gladys: As I see here, you were charged for the one-time Failed CHSI Sik - $50, and one-time install fee - $50
Gladys: The reason for the Failed Chsi fee is the Self Install Sik didn't work and we need to send a technician to properly install this. The Failed Chsi fee is for the technician fee visit.
Gladys: Regardless if the account is totally new or transferred, you will always pay the installation fee because when you transfer, the service do not automatically work. It needs to be set up and this will charge you if you chose to have it installed by a technician.


Gladys: Alright, I can credit the $50 for the install fee.
Gladys: However, the Failed CHSI SIK is a valid charge.
Gladys: Just a heads up, we normally charge for the service call or technician visit.
Gladys: This is to set proper expectation in the future.

I'm currently paying $55/month for Blast internet (30Mbps, though I never get pass 20) + basic TV after 6 months of $35/month, no contract. I never watch TV, in fact I don't even keep the TV box in my TV stand. Does anyone know if I can do better? I feel like I'm overpaying for my internet. Thanks

It seems Comcast's site always offers $29.99 performance internet for 6 months to new customers. If it's not contract, the best thing for someone who doesn't live alone is to just do that every 6 months.

Tired of dealing with these guys. They're so dishonest.

I'm in the same situation as you. Never watch TV. Got the blast plus package just to keep the price at $50/month.

I haven't opened the TV receiver box even.

What are you doing with it?

Promotions and offers usually vary by regions. I have 2 more months before my rate expires. I'm currently paying $30 plus tax for performance Internet. Their rep called and offered $40 plus tax for blast Internet & basic cable for a year. I have never watch cable tv for years, only Netflix and regular hulu. Any input for these rates?

Keep it somewhere you know to be ready for return .

I really hate Comcast (but I heard that AT&T is even worse). Plus the speed is very unstable, lots of time I just get like 1-2 Mbps. I really wish Google Fiber come quick to our area.

Called the first number and got the 29.99/1 yr Performance w/ $33 install fee. They initially only offered 6 months.but the CSR "checked with the billing department" and went to a full year.

Never used Comcast before but I'm fine with that. I've been paying $35 for 3mb DSL.
