I'm changin my post now since my papaw is home and feeling better now. This thread is for anyone to use and post there own requests. Lux took my post from another thread and made this a separate thread just for that reason. Please do not hesitate to make requests cause you might be surprised at the support you will get from the loungers!!

Here is my original request...
Sorry I know this is off-topic but there seem to be some religious people in here right now.

Please say a little prayer for my grandfather cause my mom just called and said he just called her and she is taking him to the emergency room. He is having pains (chest, I believe). It scares me cause he had a heart attack last summer and then a 5 bypass surgery. So now I'm heading to meet them at the hospital. Thanks!

I heart my Papaw!

I try to tell her things to find out from her doctor...or what to expect (or possibly might experience since I did). I am always amazed when patients and doctors don't discuss all things to expect.
I just want her to have an easier time of things than she sounds like she's having right now.
That's cause you're a good friend hug

And I agree...when my husband had cancer I felt like there was a Ton of things they didn't really tell us along the way. I wish then we had known someone then who had gone through it and could have spoken to us about it first hand.

My dad is finishing up with his chemo. Anything you want to talk about let me know. Maybe I can answer any questions, or listen to you vent, if you need. hug
Thanks hug I'll keep him in my prayers...I thankfully didn't have to go through chemo. My friend has finished that part up and is in reconstruction now..and headed very soon for radiation.

I know that some doctors don't want to worry a patient about possible things that they may not go through. But I know that I'd rather hear all the info available.
I'm glad that there are forums for people to have access to now. Reading that others are going through similar issues helps in a way...like you aren't going through it alone.

Yeah...now there are so many boards that people with almost any illness can go on and find others going through/have gone through the same thing.

Yeah, dad's doctor, after the surgery seemed to sugar coat everything, so I followed him out to the hallway and told him to be blunt about everything. I'm obviously one of those people that wants/needs it spelled out for me, so I can move on to the next obstacle.

My daughter really really likes her teacher this year (so far, lol). Anyway...yesterday her teacher had an emergency and had to leave. She wasn't there today. My daughter was told her teacher's husband was very sick and had to go to the hospital. Today she heard that it "didn't look good". I don't know what's wrong with him but if you could please put them in your prayers/good thoughts...I'd really appreciate it.

As I read updates on the earthquake in Peru, the death toll went from 17 to 48 to 71 to 115...and unfortunately it will most likely rise

Let's pray for those who lost their lives and the families they left behind

My brother and sister-in-law have been informed that their new baby girl (my niece) is showing signs of SMA Type 1 [wikipedia.org]. Confirmation pending, things don't look so good. Your silent support is appreciated. If anyone that skims over this has personally dealt with SMA or similar affliction, PMs with any resource/advise/info are welcomed.

# Infantile SMA - Type 1 or Werdnig-Hoffmann disease (generally 0-6 months). SMA type 1, also known as severe infantile SMA or Werdnig Hoffmann disease, is the most severe, and manifests in the first year of life with the inability to ever maintain an independent sitting position.

That would be so heart breaking.

Hey, if everyone could pray for a friend of mine, her name is Sophia. She's really confused about life right now and could use a lot of prayer. Thanks everyone.

A little 9 year old girl in my neighborhood is in a coma tonight.

Last week she was eating breakfast with her family when she dropped her glass of milk and couldn't pick it up (her hands wouldn't grasp). They took her to the hospital where they diagnosed her with a mild form of some rare disease that was slow moving, and said she'd be fine (they thought).

Last friday, she had a seizure at her house and collapsed into a coma. They took her the hospital where she was finally correctly diagnosed with a rare disease that deteriorates or "eats" the brain. The doctors have told the family she will never wake up and they will be forced to unhook the life support.

Please join her family and our neighborhood in praying for her. Thank you.
