LIMIT: One (1) Contest Entry per category, per person, per email address for the length of the Promotion, for a total of three (3) Contest Entries total.
Phase 1 - Contest Entry: This phase of the Contest begins at 12:00:00 PM ET on September 26, 2011 and ends at 11:59:59 PM ET on October 25, 2011
submit their own Trade Secret, in one of three categories: Home Décor, Home Improvement, or Cooking.
LIMIT: One (1) Contest Entry per category, per person, per email address, per category for the length of the Promotion, for a total of three (3) Contest Entries total.
submit a "Trade Secret" via video submission or at least three (3) images with captions and up to five (5) images with captions about your "Trade Secret", as well as an image of yourself, (collectively, with entry form, the "Contest Entry"). The video must be submitted in one of the following formats: .MOV, .WMV, .AVI file and cannot exceed 500MB in size or 90 seconds in length. If you choose to submit images with captions, each caption must be no longer than five hundred (500) characters (including spaces) in length.
Phase 2 - Public Voting: This phase of the Contest begins at 12:00:00 AM ET on October 26, 2011 and ends at 11:59:59 PM ET on November 8, 2011 ("Public Voting Phase").
Limit: One (1) vote per category per person, per email address, per day during the Public Voting Period, for a total of three (3) votes per day.
Phase 3 - Judging: This phase of the Contest begins at 12:00:00 AM ET on November 9, 2011 and ends at 11:59:59 AM ET on November 15, 2011 ("Judging Phase").
Limit: Three (3) votes per person, per email address, per day for the length of the Sweepstakes Period.
CONTEST PRIZES: Six (6) Contest Prize Packages will be awarded, consisting of:
Grand Prizes: Three (3) Contest grand prize packages (each a "Grand Prize") will be awarded, each consisting of a trip for Grand Prize Winner and a guest to New York City, NY or Los Angeles, CA. The location of the trip is dependent on the category for which the winner submitted. The Cooking winner will win a trip to New York, NY. The Décor and Home Improvement winners will win a trip to Los Angeles, CA. Each Grand Prize includes the following:
Three (3) days/two (2) nights in a standard double occupancy room at a hotel of the Sponsor's choosing
Round-trip coach air transportation for two (Grand Prize Winner and one (1) guest)
Ground transportation for Grand Prize Winner and guest for two (2) trips (airport to hotel; hotel to airport)
One (1) $1,000 Visa Gift Card
Opportunity for Grand Prize Winner to film their "Trade Secret" with one of the GMC Trade Secret personalities, to be determined by Sponsor
Second Place Prizes: Three (3) Second Place Prize Packages will be awarded, each consisting of the following:
One (1) 16 GB Apple iPad 2™*
One (1) $500 iTunes™* Gift Card
Approximate Retail Value ("ARV") for each Contest Grand Prize: $4,250.00
ARV for each Contest Second Place Prize: $999.00
ARV for ALL Contest Prize Packages: $15,747.00
SWEEPSTAKES PRIZES: Forty-two (42) potential Sweepstakes prize winners (each a "Sweepstakes Winner", collectively the "Sweepstakes Winners") will be selected in an electronic, randomized drawing conducted on or about November 21, 2011, from all eligible entries received during the Sweepstakes Period. Odds of winning depend on number of eligible entries received.
Forty-two (42) Sweepstakes prizes will be awarded. Each Sweepstakes Winner will receive one (1) $50 Visa Gift Card (each a "Sweepstakes Prize").
ARV for each Sweepstakes Prize: $50.00
ARV for ALL Sweepstakes Prizes: $2,100.00
