Think I would pass on grand prize--valuing paint job at over $5,000 seems like a joke to me.

Great point Implode! - keep in mind if you're fortunate to win, it may be possible to renegotiate the ARV of the prize value. I've successfully done this twice - however, it doesn't always work... Frown

I'm a little curious about this. How have you renegotiated the ARV of prizes?

I've done this with two (non-cash) items under 2k - If the ARV is X and I've already accepted the prize, I have asked the prize administrator to help substantiate an ARV, If possible. If they can - then I have no basis for having an item revalued. If not, then we've gone with comp data agreed to by both parties. As you can imagine, timing and being persuasive/persistent is key.

Founded in 1999 by an automotive finishing expert, Smooth Creations is a company that specializes in custom artwork on computer systems. And when I say artwork, I mean ARTWORK, not the type of bland paint jobs you may see floating around. Their staff are experts at their craft and airbrushes are their weapon of choice. They detail cases just like a hotrod car: all paints used are automotive basecoats/clearcoats that are applied in controlled-atmosphere booths, then sanding, cleaning, basecoating in multiple layers, airbrushing custom designs, and finally clearcoating several times.

I agree it may not be worth QUITE $7500, but for a custom 1 of a kind machine, it would be pretty close to a lot of people.

Check out their website

This one is just freakin sweet
