In the July issue of the Costco Connection Magazine is this Dellamore Modular Sectional Sofa [costcoconnection.com]. Does anybody happen to know the price? And/or if you own it, how is the quality/comfort?

Would love any feedback. I just came back from my closest Costco and they didn't have it, but will gladly hit up the other Costco's nearby if it is worth it.

i saw the 3 piece sectional you mention as well as the modular sectional which lets you arrange it to your liking.

the 3 piece is $780, the modular is $999

looked pretty decent. the $780 model was very bouncy but comfy still.

there is also a really nice high-top table set with seating for 8 for only $999, and if you buy it between july 12 and 20, you get $200 off!

Thank you! I was looking at the modular one. so $999 seems fair. Thank you for posting the price. I will visit my other Costco's to try and track it down.

i purchased the 7 piece modular set yesterday. took 2 trips with a large size pickup truck. really love the sofa- it is really "springy" though and quite firm which some people don't like.

it was $1077 after taxes. everything about it is great and it was considerably bigger in my living room than it looked in the store- so much so that i made a couch in the living room and used two leftover pieces for a loveseat in the basement.

the things that i didn't like was that one of the hinges to clasp the pieces together was broken (i am contacting the company to send a replacement)... also in one of the ottamans you can hear like hundreds of nails or beads or something rolling around- someone posted a similar problem on youtube. I think i will just take that one piece back up and have them switch it out if possible. there is no way im bringing the entire thing back to the store!

but this piece is great- especially when moving- each piece is small enough to carry by myself (the corner pieces are a little larger but still manageable)- ill post pics when i get some free time!

Thank you so much for posting. Today I actually found a store that had it on display. The one they had out -- the cushions seemed extra "domed" - if that makes sense, so it looked and felt funny when sitting on it. When I tested out the smaller Abbey sectional, it wasn't that way.

Can you comment as to whether yours is the same and if so, do you find it uncomfortable?

Hi,
Do you happen to know the exact packaging dimensions. I plan to buy and want to go prepared.

Thanks

I'm also interested in the sizes of the boxes housing the 7pc modular set if someone has that information. Also, how brown is the color if someone has a pic of theirs in their living room?

MY REPLY: I bought it. It is very springy. I feel like I am being ejected off the seats. From a side view it looks hilly. I asked costco about exchanging the box of 3 pieces that are the most springy and they said no. The whole thing has to be returned. What really bothers me is that we paid for the $45 rental truck and made two trips. Even if I return it, I am out of the truck rental money twice! I am disapointed with this furniture. Many people said costo has great furniture. This is the first time I bought any furniture from them. You are right. It is huge. If it was not for the springs being extra high in the middle, I would keep it.

Yes! The store display was "hilly" in the middle. It was odd. I am curious to know if that is a defect or if they are all that way. The smaller sofa was not like that. And the one they had out last Christmas time (I think it was the Emerald Home "Kaia" sectional was no that way. I think I will now definitely pass on this sofa.

Here's another reference in the same magazine: http://www.costcoconnection.com/connection/201107?pg=53#pg53

Here's a link to the manufacturers site regarding their couch construction, seems to be top notch:

Here's one of the 3 cartons in the store, even with a truck this will take several trips since each box is huge.

It's $999 at the South St Louis MO Costco. I wanted to get a picture of the couch on display but a snot-nosed kid was laying on it and I didn't want to look like a creeper. I'd say that the color is a dark brown, darker than the box would lead to believe. The microfiber is the nice thick type, it's definitely not the thin stuff that is prevalent in cheap furniture. Do any owner's have an opinion to share? The bounciness doesn't scare me and I'm leaning toward making a purchase.

Just purchased the Dellamor Couch sectional a few days ago from our local Costco.

Many people say they are very "springy" - my wife and I don't think so, but that's really a matter of opinion... our old couch we sank into like quicksand... so having a nice firm couch is a real joy for us.

The color is as ajohnamous described.... Dark Brown... I call it chocolate

Here is a picture from Costco's magazine. [costcoconnection.com]..

I didn't see a description of the springs in this thing anywhere until I read some of the info included in the box(es)... the couch(es) are made of wood and " eight way hand tied coil springs" - which I'm told is an indicator of high quality.

At this point (5 days into ownership) , we LOVE our Dellamor sectional. Big Grin

Hope that info is helpful to someone....
