online-only Contest that begins on 1/2/12 at 12:00:00 AM (PT) and ends on 2/1/12 at 11:59:59 PM (PT) ("Contest Period").
the Contest Period consists of a submission phase that begins on 1/2/12 at 12:00:00 AM (PT) and ends on 1/20/12 at 11:59:59 PM (PT)
open to legal residents of the fifty (50) United States and District of Columbia (except Florida, New York and Rhode Island) who are 18 years of age or older at time of entry
a judging phase that begins on or about 1/21/12 and ends on 1/25/12 (the "Judging Phase"); and a finalist public voting/judging panel phase that begins on 1/26/12 at 12:00:00 AM (PT) and ends on 1/31/12 at 11:59:59 PM (PT)
The voting public will be allowed one (1) vote for their favorite Finalist recipe with photo per day, per person/email address during the Finalist Voting Phase
"Like" the Avocados from Mexico ("AFM") Facebook page; click on the Guac Off Recipe Contest tab; and then follow the instructions to complete the Contest registration and photo upload process as instructed. You will be required to upload a digital color photo of your completed, prepared recipe during the entry process. The Entry will consist of the completed online registration form, your best Guacamole recipe and a color photo of the completed, prepared recipe.
PRIZES/APPROXIMATE RETAIL VALUES (ARV). CONTEST PRIZES: Three (3) Grand Prizes (one prize each for –Most Popular winner; Most Creative winner; and Best Overall Recipe winner – A Tablet-style Computer and an autographed cookbook from Chef Roberto Santibañez (ARV $864 ea. winner).
Seven (7) Runner Up Prizes – A $200 Grocery Gift Card and an autographed cookbook from Chef Roberto Santibañez ($235 ea. winner). Gift card issued by the winner's designated preferred grocery retailer.
SWEEPSTAKES PRIZES/ARV/ODDS: Ten (10) Sweepstakes Prizes – A $100 Grocery Gift Card (ARV $100 ea. winner). Odds of winning a Sweepstakes Prize depends on total number of eligible entries received.
Total ARV of all prizes $5,237.
Limit one (1) prize per person.
